Milan are after Buffon, Oddo and Ibra being there top priority. Juventus are looking for 25 million euro for Ibra and milan have tabled an offer of 22 million.

Trezeguet and Ibrahimovic will stay at Juve, coach says

PARIS, July 27 (Reuters) - Juventus will keep top strikers David Trezeguet and Zlatan Ibrahimovic despite being relegated to Serie B, new coach Didier Deschamps said.

"Those two players (Trezeguet and Ibrahimovic) will stay, and so will (midfielder Mauro) Camoranesi," Deschamps told French daily Le Parisien in an interview published on Thursday.

Juventus's relegation to Serie B over their implication in Italy's match-fixing scandal was confirmed by an appeals court on Tuesday.

"It's a big disappointment for me as well as for the club's owners and rulers," Deschamps said of the ruling. "The decision is incomprehensible, illogical and unfair."

Several players, notably France defender Lilian Thuram and Italy's World Cup-winning captain Fabio Cannavaro, have already left the club, signing for Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.

Other valued players, however, among them France striker Trezeguet, Sweden forward Ibrahimovic and Czech midfielder Pavel Nedved, have not announced yet what they will do.

Deschamps, appointed earlier this month to replace Fabio Capello, said there would be no major signings.

I think you'll all be surprised how good Ibra will turn out to be. I don't understand the negative reactions towards Ibra. He didn't play a good season that's wright but I still concider this player as one of the most tallented players on the pitch. It would be hard to see him play at an exeptionaly high level with Milan or Inter. When that happens I hope you'll remember the things you been written about him. You' re making a big mistake.

how bout playing a floop season, not scoring easy chances and after Juve's relegation, states that Ibra can stay but only with a significantly improved contract.

Now what the fvck is that? Many of our veteran players probably need to agree some sort of pay cut, and Ibra? After a loasy season ask for a payraise knowing damn well Juve is relegated?

Am sorry, I was rooting for Ibra, but that message by his agent really disgusted me, he has no respect for Juventus. We are better off with Bojinov and Palladino as our young forwards!

I tend to believe that a pay cut is expected since Juventus is in B due to financial problems, wouldn't say it is a difficulty though, since the club can still manage it.

    Let's see

You sell Ibra for 22 million and yet you get to groom Palladino and Bojinov at the same time, this option is out of this world eh? :eyebrows:

Nobody is doubting Zlatan's talent. He is one of the most talented players around without any doubt, and his close ball control is just unbelievable.
The problem is Zlatan is too self-indulgent kid to develop himself. I believe failure is a mother of success for all professions and how talented you are but whether you learn from failure or not is down to your maturity and willingness to learn.
Zlatan simply doesnt have these mental attributes and it doesnt take Einstein to realize that Zlatan in Serie B will be unmotivated, selfish, dress-room disturbing prick that he is.
Better sell him to a highest bidder and re-invest money once we in Serie A again. With 22m Euros, I am pretty sure you can sign likes of Mascherano & Barzagli.

People here on this forum know me very well as one of the biggest Ibrahimovic supporters here. I think his talent is unquestioned, and I think that the right coach, one that can nurture his talents, but also be able to put the foot down when things go wrong (In retrospect, Capello wasn't the man for this, and not all of the failures can be placed on Ibra's shoulders. After all, its up to the coach to decide when to play someone and when to rerst them), and I think that Deschamps could be that coach.

However, if these statements are indeed true, then Juve have no choice but to sell him.

That being said, if Milan end up getting him, Ibra could be in for a monster season next year.

What does it say when Milan are interested in him?? That all of a sudden, Milan are stupid when it comes to transfers?? I think not. Considering that they are practically our neighbors, they have seen a majority of Juve's games, and they can see the talent there.

One bad season does not make a career.

That being said, i think Ibra's major downfall was Crapello showing him videos of Van Basten & telling him that he indeed is his successor. The few times i saw Zlatan play,he would overdo things trying to make a simple task,a feast for the eyes.

So maybe, just maybe Serie B would be the best thing for him.Deschamps is well known for not backing down & playing into player's threats. If Zlatan does stay,it will be very interesting to see how he copes with being on the bench.
