There were some mixed signals from the management. In the beginning when Secco had just been promoted, he told Zlatan that it was best if he left. Later on, the management changed their mind and decided that no more players were allowed to leave (including Zlatan). However, Zlatan didn't want to stay because he felt that a year and Serie B would stop him from growing as a player. He were so furious about the decision of not letting him leave that he stayed home from some games to play Xbox. That made the team bus late, but Deschamps just went down to Zlatan's home to try to convince him to come. However, that didn't work, and it really pissed of Deschamps. Zlatan was a pain in the ass to be honest. In his book, we only learn that there were interests from Inter and Milan. He said that he decided to join Inter because they were the underdogs and were on their way forward.
