Overall he's just an amazing player to watch, imagine if they play Barca in the second round of the CL :D
Jack thinks they can take on Barca but I think they'll be destroyed :D
In any case, it suits me perfectly. At least one of them will be eliminated and there is no chance both to be eliminated if they aren't paired together.

I think they'll be destroyed too unfortunately, the thing is Zlatan won't get the ball enough. If Zlatan gets enough of the ball, make no mistake, he'd play his heart out, he'd probably make Puyol and Pique his bitches. But Milan's midfield is a joke, they showed that against Real, and it will be exposed even more against Barca.

I still don't rate this Milan team very highly, even though they'd probably win the Serie A. I think their midfield is an absolute joke. Remember the discussion me and you had about their CL prospects, i told you they'd come second to Real, in which we both agreed, but i told you if they came second, then whomever they play against would beat them. I told you that i don't believe they'd pass the second round, which is where we both disagreed.

I still hold onto that prediction, all the teams that got 1st place would beat Milan, barring maybe Schalke.

    Or Shakhtar.

That's exactly why I disagreed with you that Milan will surely be eliminated in round 1 of the knock-outs. I too have little doubts that all the big teams will eliminate Milan, but as it usually happens, some unexpected team ends up winning the groups and then gets eliminated in the knock-outs immediately.

Milan has a solid 2/7 chance to get one of Schalke and Shakhtar.

P.S: Maybe even Tottenham. They are good, but they have no experience at all and it might cost them dearly against anyone in the knock-outs.

So do you think Tottenham will eliminate them too? :D

Adriano Galliani is glad Milan signed Zlatan Ibrahimovic - albeit four years late.

The Rossoneri's CEO has revealed they had a deal for Ibrahimovic signed and sealed, but it was scuppered by the Calciopoli scandal in 2006.

Speaking to Milan Channel, Galliani said: "President [Silvio] Berlusconi called me yesterday and we spoke about Milan. He said 'shame for Ibrahimovic. We had him in 2006, but he arrived in 2010.'

"It's a shame for that summer as we lost four years. What happened stopped us from signing him even though the transfer was practically done.

"Ariedo Braida went to meet Juventus and there was an agreement, but then Calciopoli arrived with the request for Serie B and everything else.

"But, in football, just like life, feelings often prevail, and Ibrahimovic arrived here in the end."

To be honest thats a tough one, and Tottenham make too many mistakes at the back to do anything serious in the CL. Their inexperience like you said could cost them, but i really don't rate Milan and wouldn't be surprised if Tottenham eliminated them. Still, i want Milan at some stage to play Barca, if not to beat them on the field, for Zlatan to make them his bitches in the press :D

So Moggi actually wanted to sell Ibrahimovic to our sole rivals Milan in 2006? That would have been a very smart move by this mistake-less guru :shifty:

Milan-Barca would be the ugliest spectacle you'll ever see in your life for two reasons.

    1. Barca will demolish them by over 4 goals.

    2. Ibra won't even see the ball to have a chance at them.

No Italian team is competitive enough at the moment.

You never know how much money we could have got for Zlatan, but who were Moggi thinking to replace him with?
Buffon was too leaving for Milan that summer if not for Calciopoli. Maybe it would have been a master stroke and something similar to 2001 when we got Thuram, Nedved and Buffon with the Zidane-Inzaghi money, but I'm never a supporter of the sales where one strengthens the main rivals.

Me neither, I stil can't believe we sold Inzaghi and Vieri to our rivals, that was dumb moves indeed which gave our rivals strength. If we sold them abroad, we would probably loose 5-10 millions, but it was worth it rather than selling to our rivals.

We did sell Vieri abroad :D
We sold him to Atletico and they sold him in Italy later.

Inzaghi's sale is still hurting me. Not because I loved him in Juve but for what he achieved in Milan later. He was instrumental for them in their 2003 campaign and if not for him, we probably weren't gonna play Milan in the final and maybe win against whichever other team played that final

    My bad.

    Zlatan and Inzaghi then!

Trezeguet owns Inzaghi every day of the week, but what was the management thinking by selling him to our rivals :sergio:

Wasn't Real Madrid or Barcelona interested in Zlatan in 2006? Why did we sell to Inter?
