I am not a christian and i am not an expert in christian history. However a simple googling of "zeitgeist debunked" will show you that most of the historical information in the movie is made up. There are complete websites solely dedicated to debunking this shit.


The summary of the movie can be said here:

"Now you dont believe in God and you don't believe in Governments and other humans... everyone is lying... but I the movie maker knows the truth.. they lie to control you through planted microchips that they can turn you off using their tv remote controls while jerking off to cartoon network."

They criticize the fear instrument and surprisingly they use it against you.

The addendum started well... with the money talk and everything... then the too much x-files shit appeared again...

This movie is targeted at christian americans only.... asks them to stop working.. throw away all your money... don't do anything for yourself or your country... there is no religion..... Unite in doing nothing and become a vegetable.

The notion of Jesus was created just like any other mythological figure was created. It was also created with the exact same purposes. I do believe that there might have been someone around that time who did manage to more or less be the beginning of a new religion. Doesn't mean that he was the son of God though.

i saw this movie last night because of this thread. I find it very interesting..and i believe the 9.11 and the dollar story. But i don't know about the religion part..i was grown a christian..i believe in God..

No where in the film do they imply that God does not exist, they just say that Christianity is total bullshit, and Jesus is nothing but a parody of The Sun.

i was quoting myself from a previous post these are my opinions..
I've discussed zeitgeist on 2 forums before it appeared here.

I was referring to google because after i watched the comparative mythology part i wanted to check its credibility and to learn more about the topic. I advise you to do the same. The movie is not totally wrong in this part.. but some stuff they added is made up to appear more convincing. That is what different websites showed citing sources.
I knew about the ancient Egyptian religion's similarity before watching the movie.


all i am saying is that when you tackle something (a documentary, a movie, an article) with multiple shocking messages...check its sources and its credibility.. you'll see why its a mockumentary
