Real Madrid get funded by the King of Spain. They're considered a national treasure, so no matter how little money they have, they're always gonna get more pumped into them
Actually, it's a little bit more legitimate than that, but not much. Basically, Real Madrid was "donated" real estate in downtown Madrid by the King of Spain. This became their training ground, until they sold it to the Spanish government for a huge sum of money. That is how they have been financing all of their signings. They are under investigation by the EU for that little bit of creative funding.

Ahh I see, thx for the fill-in. But didn't RM have a financial crisis before, where the King had to jump in and throw a lot of cash into the club?

IMO, Real's problems are worse than ours. For everyone who worries over our bench, pick our worst week for injuries this year (we all know the one) and I'd take that 13-person squad any day over what Real can muster without just a few of their starting galacticos.:yuck:

For as bad as this season has been, I've taken solace in saying, "Well, at least we're not Real Madrid."

Inter goes without saying.:dielaugh:

But yeah -- IMO, I think Zambro has been our best player for at least the past few months. If not this season. He's crucial.

That's a very good point. In terms of depth, Real's squad looks pretty pathetic for a club of their prestige
