Juve retain versatile Zambrotta
Sunday, 28 March 2004
Juventus FC left-back Gianluca Zambrotta has signed an extension to his contract that will keep him with the Turin club until 2008. The 27-year-old Italian international is currently in his fifth season at the Delle Alpi stadium after joining from AS Bari in 1999 for €15.85m.

'Really happy'
Zambrotta, who switched from right-wing to left-back last season and occupies the same position with his national side, said: "I'm really happy with this new contract. I always wanted to stay at Juventus, one of the most serious and competitive clubs in the world."

Real Madrid get funded by the King of Spain. They're considered a national treasure, so no matter how little money they have, they're always gonna get more pumped into them
