the refs would whistle even if Scirea was playing.
An elegant defender that dominates enemies with authority would create less similar "incidents" though:D
Why should we waste Chiellini's attacking talents and play with players like Molinaro, instead of buying a decent defender, Chiellini as a CB, is a quick fix in my books, not a permanent solution, find me a LB better than him and i ll find you 2 CBs better than him...

I'm still pissed off at him, but I could forgive him like the Prodigal Son. He's always been one of my favorite Juve players in recent years -- perhaps even my favorite.

Zambrotta, Cole, Lahm, Emanuelson, Grosso, Pasqual, Riise, Abidal...

Chiellini is too slow for the left side and when he gets older it will be even worse. Giorgio has to stop to cross the ball. In the center he's solid.

Even when he was at Juventus?How can you slam his Juventus career?Hating him for leaving the club is marginally understandable,but bashing his career with us isnt.
well said man, only a fool would not agree that at his time at the club, rambo was simply superb

Buffon was created using a sample of of DNA from Chuck Norris.
you cannot obtain a DNA sample from chuck norris, he simply clones himself at will

I think Chiellini found his role and it's at CB.
have to agree there, cannot understand why we let balza go as chiellini is much better as a CB and will only improve

I agree that Balzaretti is better than Molinaro. However, he's not a whole lot more than a decent backup for someone better. He's not even a starter for Fiorentina, which isn't exactly a stacked team. Chiellini is definitely a superior CB, and can only get better in that position.

times up, too much time loading FM hey? :p
Just saw that, u were late first and i though your mod duties caught ur attention, actually i tried blacksite area 51...

Zambrotta, Cole, Lahm, Emanuelson, Grosso, Pasqual, Riise, Abidal...

Zambro ok but we cant have him, Cole is too expensive and does not have the same form any more
Lahm?The Lizarazu heir? ok i ll buy that(but not in serie A though)
Emanuel-who? is this kid even a starter in Ajax?? he is a hot prospect but not a Chiellini yet, not even a Grygera:lol:
Grosso+Pasqual are not any better than Chiellini, i believe Chie will become better than them, but they can really replace him in our squad
Riise, ok, i respect him, Abidal is overrated.
Some of those LBs are any better than Chie is, or will be, but we can easily find a CB, because CBs are twice more frequent in every team, so we can easily lure one of them instead of luring the best LB a powerful team may have. Most of the teams we a LB as good as Chie as strong and wont easily give away their best Lb, they could easily give one of their two CBs though, since they can also find alternative solution easier...You know how the markets works, we cant a waste a good LB for a decent CB.
If you believe though that Chie isnt good enough for a Juve LB, that would surprise me!! Ok he wont become any faster growing older, but thats also true for every other football player out there, (including Di Livio and Cafu;) )
Just to prove my point:

Zambro = Canna+Maldini :p
Cole = Ferdinard+Terry
Lahm = Lucio+Barzagli
Grosso = Chivu+Samuel
Pasqual = Dainelly(yes he is a better CB than Chie right now)+Ujfalusi
Riise = Hyypia+Carvalho
Abidal = Puyol+Milito:p

Fighting mark77, gsol and the Aliens in Crysis, at the same time can be a bitch,
my limited time wont make me weaker though!
Mark, you know more players than i do, you should know better,
i ve mentioned those players because they come from similar teams and leagues, with similar price tags and adaptation risks and most of all,they are all arguably better CBs than Chiellini, instead of your choices.
I could mention your very own list of possible CB transfers and Nesta type of players,but thats not my point.
Now tell me the truth, do you honestly believe its harder for us to find a CB than a LB as good as Chie is? or you believe that our managers dont intent to buy a player any better or expensive, than Ivanovic for now and you prefer Chie as a proven quick fix?

Ignoring the fact he is a mercenary and could care less about Juventus, he isn't the same player he once was. He has lost quite a bit of pace, and were better off signing some1 more longterm at lb.

No. Not because of betrayal or something just because I am against the idea of signing players that we already SOLD.
I agree.

Especially that he asked for leaving many times before the calciopoli. Why would the club bring him back after the regular moaning "I want to join Milan" each summer?

Fighting, us? nah, just discussing different point of views.

I don't believe we can find a CB as good as Chiellini at an affordable price. We can find a better LB than Molinaro that's close to Chiellini's potential at LB for an affordable price.

I personaly wouldnt want him back. Not because he left, I have nothing agaisnt him for that, I just dont think he's the player he once was, and he isnt really getting any younger.

Riise???i wouldnt class him as better than Zambrotta..he isnt that good..ask Enron i'd assume he agrees with me.
to me riise is always a better midfielder than a fullback, with a good attacking fullback behind him that overlaps he is good but as a fullback witha winger in front he does not have the defensive skills of a zambrotta

i always think of him as somewhere in between..he isnt good enough defensively to be a fullback..and he doesnt have the dribbling skills or the technique a winger should have.
