yes i know where he used to play..i agree definitely he can still play lb..but your mistaken again..last season he was played at rb..Gio was the left back...Belletti was on the bench..which was precisely why he left.

I watched more than 60% of Barcelona games last year and I guarantee that I've seen Zambrotta playing as LB many times... lets not forget how many times FR played Oleguer as RB.

i watched most of barca's games myself..and i'm not denying he was played there a few times..i'm just saying he was generally used as a RB for most of last season.

I'd be a little apprehensive... but there's no left back feasibly available as good (and as Serie A proven) as Zambrotta. He'd instantly step in and make the defense that much better.

Not sure I like moving Tiago for him though... but maybe that means Ballack is coming.

Also heard Almiron for Cigarini... not sure what to think about that.

no i really do not want us to sell tiago, i feel that he is having a hard time right now but there is no doubting his class, however i fear his outburst may have booked his exit. i could see us swapping zambro for tiago, selling almirona nd buying maresca.

have to say i would not be too upset at this outcome as it would give us a bit more balance but would be sad to see a class player like tiago go without really being able to show his true worth

Chiellini is now a bonafide CB... Boka is good, but not Zambrotta good. But I'd agree that the other three are playing better than Zambrotta, and add Cashley Cole as well.

If the price is right, and the senior players don't strongly object... would it really hurt to bring him back and bolster the back 4 considerably?

Lahm will not leave Bayern. Zambrotta to Milan was so evident because the player wanted to go there after the scandal.
