I am starting to like my new found tradition, I know little of how rep stuff work, but its nice giving negative rep to peeps who post crappy goal.com articles (dont neg if the article gives direct and valid quotes). Makes me feel fuzzy inside.
Hey! Thats my 1st ever -rep and I have to say it really hurts!! :melayyanandmessi: :gsol:

im not particularly happy with the current tranfers made.
i think amauri is a fantastic player and a great buy, despite him not being completely necessary. then ekdal is also a great purchase, he is a promising youngster that was wanted by all the top clubs, so he must be good. the returns of giovinco, marchisio and de ceglie are very good news.
however, i am unimpressed with the rest. mellberg is a rock- ive been watching him play for years and hes very good, but juve quality? hmmm. a really awesome squad player, but unfortunately i think he will be a first-teamer
then knezevic- played well in the euros, but why would juventus ever sign him? hes almost certainly a squad player, likely to replace a turkish-bound zebina.

so you may have noticed my analysis of these players were generally positive, but there is a clear pattern in these siginings- good, but not great.
juventus this year had a fairly average squad, but inspirational performances from players who considered it a transitional season brought good results. inter on the other hand had a really strong squad.
the point i am making is that the trend of players we are signing and being linked with will not cause a leap in quality, and we will come 2nd or worse.

more bad news....
1. inter have a great new manager, with a squad needing very little change
2. milan have no champions league this year, and have been pretty solid in the transfer market so far
3. fiorentina have bought very well

to make this leap in quality (and im keeping in mind that ranieri is almost certain to play 2 defensive mids) i would buy aquilani or veloso, then poulsen as backup. then some real defenders (zapata, grosso etc.)

Bojinov was not a bad transfer. He was very young and with impresive performances in Serie A. Maybe just Deschamp didn't use him correctly.

In additon to that, selling Mutu this time was a need and not a choice. We were in need of money quickly.

Tricky really,i'm glad we got Poulsen in some ways because it means more reassurance for our defence,on the other hand that meant missing out on a creative midfielder but to counter myself there we got Giovinco back which i feel is the answer to our creativity problems imo.The only worry i have is the press might start to put to much emphasis on Giovinco at such a young age,so we shall see what the lads character is like.Amauri i have to say this is one of the transfers of the summer in Italy,From the form he showed last season and his technique ability i expect him to link up with Trez sublimly.

I got pissed off when Mutu left, but it was a difficult situation and he really wanted to leave, plus Bojinov is a talented player

how much did Fiorentina pay for Mutu??? I remember the deal was like Fiorentina owns Mutu for Bojionov's loan + some change, please correct me if I'm wrong

The next year Bojinov returend to Fiorentina and they sold him to Man city, so we technically gave them Mutu for free, and they got some extra cash from selling Bojinov

Definatly I won't change Mutu with Bojinov! Thats for sure ...

You know what?

After these many years being Juve fan (~18 years) with all Ups and Downs and many many many good memories and some bad ones, these last 2 years except from players dedications and effort especialy Gigi, Alex, Trez and co, these guys: Secco, Gigli and Blanc and their performance had bring some bad memories form me, Everytime I think about Juve, I remember some wrong and stupid moves or missed oppurtunity by these guys!

I'll be Juve fan ever even if we play with 11 Birindelli in serie C, but it hurts me that I see everyday that a team with this kind of Prestigue and millions fan worldwide are managing by this guys... It makes me feel pity!

I feel sick when I rememebr how Moggi bring Mutu to Juve and we lost him for almost nothing, now Roma wants him for 20M! This means stupidness in all languages. and many many more like this.

The deal was €8m for Mutu+Bojinov on loan with the right to buy him at the end of the season.

I know i'm just wasting my time trying to explain anything to you but i'll do it one more time.....

Put this into your head : WE WERE SENT TO SERIE B. In other words :
1. We were about to lose hundreds of millions we were usually getting from TV Rights, UEFA and sponsors.

2. We were paying more than 100m eur a year only for player's wages and we couldn't afford that anymore.

3. Many players didn't want to play in serie B

So, what was the right thing to do here ? Someone like you would say that the right thing to do was to buy Ronaldinho and Kaka, but unfortunately that's a wrong answer. The right answer is selling players, earning money from their sales and at the same time reducing the wage bill.

I stop here and i'll let you think for a while and finish my post by telling us why did we sell Mutu.

AND: I know that I'm just wasting my time reading your post trying somehow to defend these new managers and their wrong moves! But I’m doing it one more time!

1. I know the deal and I know we were in Serie B and I know the situation about TV Rights, Sponsors, European games and ...

2. I know that too.

3. Mutu and Zambrotta was not one of them! They said it before we sold them and even after that! Both said we would play in Serie B if Juve wanted to keep them, just like we kept Camo and Trez and Gigi. I agree with you about Emerson, Zlatan, Vieira, Canna and Thuram! I’m not against their selling!

4. Don't exaggerate!

And you know what? Just because these managers didn't perform well, it doesn’t mean that nobody can perform better! And good managing is all about in critical situation not in time when we have all we need. Fortunately this year we have everything, good budget, we are in CL, we have motivation, everything. Look at this year so far! Look what teams like Milan, Barca, Chelsea, Man U, Real are doing and what we are doing!

Milan is in large debt as all we know, not in CL and has a bad financial situation, but they got Ronaldinho, Flamini, Zambrotta, Borrelio and we got Knezevic, Melberg and Poulsen!

* We paid lots of money for Amauri when we had two top scorer of the league! I like Amauri but he wasn't our priority!

Look at Fiorentina, Look at Napoli and I’m sure Inter also will buy 2 more top player, so what do you think?

STOP defending these guys and their unfinished list of everyday mistakes by repeating same old words you and some friends of you, attacking together to anyone who doesn’t think like you. Just by confirming each other in every post, it doesn’t mean you’re right and others have no different and better ideas and they don’t know anything!

Finaly, I think Gigli, Blanc and especially Secco should be sacked immediately. They are destroying Juve image, reputation and prestige by lots of mistakes and more missed opportunity!

[blackadder mode] I would like to say how much I enjoyed reading your great post and your well thought arguments, ESS-Juventino......

.....But, as we both know, it would be an utter lie. I will therefore confine myself to saying simply, "Sod off," and if I ever have to read one of your posts again, it'll be twenty billion years too soon. [/blackadder mode]
