Result wise we are doing like expected in Serie A, pretty good in CL, and great in Coppa Italia. Performance wise, they way the team is functioning, tactics etc.. we are doing bad, the only match that excited me was Milan, we played super football, when we can do something like that against Milan, why we don't do it so in the rest of the match? For that I am disappointed. I don't care much about statistics on how how we concede goals etc.. But our defense was shaky since the beginning, but we were so lucky/our opponents were so dumb at finishing, and I was expecting this to happen.

So I vote 6! That's for "so far"

Because Milan leave space to play against them.

The vast majority of the teams we play are happy to put 10 men behind the ball the whole game and hope to nick a goal.

It is very hard to play the sort of attacking game we played against Milan against teams that don't give you any space.

no I didn't mean attacking football only, what I meant we were killing them everywhere with pressing. We should do that all the time, we should start defending right from where our opponents start to create attack, we just can't sit back and watch until our opponents come to our defending area..

Fair enough.

We do have a habit of starting a bit too cautiously, especially away from home.

This is our main problem, the reason we lost against Cagliari. We were not bad offensively, we created and tried to score, but defensive wise, they were all unprepared and not concentrated and were watching what's going on instead. Even Udinese, I can't believe that that lame Udinese scored two goals against us. It was funny to see them the way they were creating attacks, what is funnier is the way we let them do it.

Anyway let's not turn this thread to tactical conversation :D

So far they're doing exactly what i expected from them. 3rd place, pass the CL group and pass at least 1 or 2 rounds in Coppa. They aren't better nor worse than what i thought.

That's why a fair rating would be 5/10, but since we suffered a lot from injuries i'll give 6/10.

P.S: If 6 is the passing mark then i'll give 7/10.

agreed. no need to say anything since you preempted my exact thoughts
