I get why people say this, but there's a limit

All the BPL clubs who could use him have bought about 400 other players in the mean time. Sometimes as hard to believe as it is, we do have a shot at decent players.
I think that if Marotta really went for him, offering to pay a decent fee of around 15/18M, he would very well get him.

But he has hinted that they aren't purchasing big names... Shaqiri wouldn't be impossible for Juventus, if we weren't looking for cheap deals.

Anyway, we all know Bayern doesn't need money. So maybe they could be interested in simply loaning the guy out, let him develop with regular first team football at the highest level (CL) and get him back later. Maybe they aren't actually interested in making money with him. Who knows.

I honestly don't think this is an impossible deal. If they go for a loan + obligation to buy for 15mil or whatever it is that they're saying we offered/we're about to, it could happen. Why not?

It all comes down to whether they accept a loan offer or not.

sign/ loan this guy and (provided nobody important is sold) i would say successful mercato

Could shaqiri potentially play in the center behind two forwards as well?

It would be the best mercato we had in a LONG time. Tevez and Llorente were just the beginning.

But we'll see. The next couple of days are gonna be interesting (or not if we really don't get anyone).

- - - Updated - - -

It is actually the morning there. Dumbo
So cute :touched: I haven't heard that since 3'rd grade :p

Shaqiri would be an interesting acquisition. I mean in a market bereft of opportunities, and teams with far superior financial muscle, what better options do we have?! :boh:

Btw, where is @Rabbit ?! Is he back in jail again?

At this point I don't care if he leaves his game IQ has not improved at all since he arrived at Bayern and he isnt healthy enough to command more playing time when its there.
