Liverpool denied it yesterday, so there may be an agreement between Madrid and the player, but I doubt Liverpool have agreed to anything yet.

True.

I just doubt negotiations are as far on as some are suggesting.

Kaka to Real within a couple of weeks, too. ;)

Xabi will be a major loss for Pool, but then they might have enough capital to purchase Lavezzi. Although apparently they want Kleber, too.

Perez might be the best thing that happened to Juve lately. If our directors can't make us strong, Perez can make our rivals weak. Now Kaka and Zlatan, next year Pato and Maicon, and scudetto here we come :D

He won't be interested in our players anyway.

Guillem Balague says he expects Xabi Alonso to sign for Real Madrid later this month.

The highly-rated Spanish football pundit and close friend of Rafa Benitez believes the opportunity to return to Spain may be too good for Alonso to turn down.

Balague said: "Xabi Alonso is also a definite Real Madrid target and Rafa Benitez is aware of that fact.

"After 5 years at Anfield, the player could be feeling that now is the right time to return to Spain – plus Benitez could certainly make use of the €25 million or so he will receive for Alonso in the transfer market this summer.

"I am under the impression that this deal could be concluded relatively quickly and be finalized within the next three weeks or so."

He already "almost" swept one of our targets though.
Luckily we got to Diego before him.

To mourn over it or not, this is the problem.
Well, it's not like we don't have superstars, but he either has superstars on those positions (Buffon-Casillas), he plans to buy other superstars on those positions (Diego-Kaka) or our superstars are old for his new galacticos (Del Piero, Trezeguet, even Camoranesi). We also have some great players who aren't enough "superstars" for Perez (Chiellini, Amauri, Sissoko).
