What's so great about it? Barry to Liverpool doesn't mean we're getting Xabi.
It is great news because it does means that they have to/want too sell Xabi,i can't see how Liverpool signing Barry,Keane and a WC winger(Silva) without selling, and with Barry coming they simple don't need him.
he'll be very expensive bench warmer,Benitez made it known, that Xabi will leave...so Barry coming to Liverpool does means that Xabi are on his way out.
and if i'm right we are the only one who are after him and have acontract agreement with his agent.;)

ha ha my bad. They did play together though and did a fine job so their is no reason why he cant do the job he did with Sevilla with us. Keita reminds me a little of Sissoko so i mean it should work out ok.
They're nothing like each other actually, Keita is actually decent technically and he can pass the fuckin ball, the same cant be said about Sissoko.

Isn't Barry a fullback?
He has been deployed there sometimes, but he's primarily a central midfielder

Neither do i, but he had a pretty good season i have to admit.

Barry's had a pretty good last couple of seasons but he is still worth way less than 18 mil. What's up with the rumors of Arsenal poaching him for player plus cash?

So if all goes "well", Juventus will have a central midfield consisting of Xabi Alonso, Momo Sissoko, Poulsen, and Billy Zanetti plus Tiago. That really isn't too bad, though it seems someone will be left out. Even if you guys don't get Xabi that's still Sissoko, Poulsen, Zanetti and Tiago. Still not too shabby, less creativity but a whole lot of strength.
