Can you people PLEASE post your sources? This could all just be more Goal.com bullshit. I never check that imbecilic site anyway, so please post at least the name of the site.

The particular article is from goal.com but it's also all over the Italian sites.
Xabi did say that his wish is to stay in Liverpool, the town with the greatest stadium and greatest fans, but it's up to the club to decide about his future.

Alonso Distances Himself Further Away From Juventus

The Old Lady has been keen on the Spanish international but they have failed to reach an agreement with the Merseysiders over his fee.

The Reds have held out for as long as possible in an attempt to scupper interest from the Serie A giants and it seems to have worked as Alonso has declared that he wants to stay in England.

“Everyone treats me so well here,” said Alonso.
“There are a few stories over a possible transfer but I would prefer not to talk about my future.

“I want to win the Premier League as that is the only trophy which is missing.”
Reports claim that the Bianconeri had offered €20.5m for the midfielder and it seems as if that is going to be their final offer.

The Italian club have started to look elsewhere for a midfielder and thus Alonso’s move to Serie A is moving further away as time goes by.
That should be enough if we really offered that. Liverpool will most likely sell Crouch, that money will be used for Barry, so Alonso is being pushed out. Liverpool would accept around 20m I think. Btw I'll never understand why Liverpool is so obsessed with Barry, cause they're packed with great central midfielders. And Alonso >> Barry.

He has said that before, it may mean little, saying he is a Pool player as far as he knows, that he doesnt know anything about transfers or such, its the matter of others etc.

Yeah, sure.
That's why i'm indifferent to these news. He's saying what everyone with an uncertain future should say. (although i do think that he's telling the truth and that if he has a choice, he'd chose Benitez and Liverpool. If the club decides to sell him though, he'll leave immediately and won't make a big deal out of it)

Yeah I just saw that, but stupid Goal.com always provides us with the most dramatic and moronic verbiage just to get people to lose their lunch time to time. All they have to do is write some ridiculous title and 50% of their readers will go haywire.
