Senna is rock solid defensively and that is something we need but we also need someone who could give some great passes and still defend and this guy is Xabi Alonso

Xabi is the player we want, he is better then Senna no doubt! We need Alonso and he is the best player that we can sign right now. 20 m is not much for Xabi. Xabi is high quality player and we need that. We need to pay if we want topp class.

To compare the two players or to say one is better than the other is just dumb.

Xabi is Pirlo and Senna is Gatusso. They both are deep midfielders, but you can't compare them as they do two totally different things.

We already have our Gatusso(s). Zanetti and Momo. But we dont have any Pirlos, since Tiago and Almiron isnt delivering. So Xabi is the type of player we need, not Senna.

i have also been desperate to see this affair finished once and for all. Xabi is exactly what we need. he is still young and right now he is the best passer in the world. he lacks a bit of mobility but we have nedved and camo to do that. anyway a box to box cm or a dm is not what we need right now. it is a midfielder with the capability of controlling our timings just like pirlo does for italy and milan. honestly i cant think of a better player than xabi for us. he has loads of experience and yet he is only 26. plus, he is a proved player.

i hope xabi coming wont mean a tiago departure he is pretty talented and i think if we give him the chance he will come through in the end.

Very good post, the only part I disagree is what you wrote about Tiago.I think he took many chances but he did not deliver.And he can be used as a part of a deal for an other player, cause his price is still not low.

what i meant is that he is a similar player. not better or worse. but he does have age in favor and he is good enough to have a discussion about which one is better.

pirlo's passing ability is outstanding but so is alonso's

i know one video isnt proof of anything but i think images speak louder than words.
