OK back on topic
Xabi Alonso played a good game today and gave a nice pass to someone who missed it against the Russian GK, he also had a series of nice passes
You convinced me lets get him UNLESS..... unless there is even the sligthest chance of landing Fabregas who is playing better and better in every game he plays and it doesn`t matter if it`s for Spain or Arsenal
I would say that a 30M+Iaquinta+Tiago is a good deal for us as Fabregas worth way more than that
BUT it`s not going to happen so lets just sign Xabi already

Juve, after the European Xabi Alonso will be bianconero

Well if you're driving up from Buffalo/Niagara, you'll most likely take the QEW to Toronto. You'll pass towns like Grimsby, Beamsville and Winona before you pass this shithole of a city called Hamilton. I'm mixed up somewhere in the three towns.
Hamilton wasn't that bad...ok, maybe a little. I didn't see anything except for factories and commercial buildings :D

Alonso awaits Juve response Friday 27 June, 2008
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Xabi Alonso is losing patience as his transfer from Liverpool to Juventus is postponed again. “Nothing is decided.”

The Spanish midfielder’s move to Turin has been considered a certainty for several weeks, but no official word has arrived from either club.

“Nothing is decided, apart from Liverpool’s willingness to release me,” said Xabi Alonso.

“In any case, I have a European Championship Final to focus on and do not want to think about anything else.”

Spain take on Germany in Sunday’s showdown, which is their first Final in 24 years.

Meanwhile, Xabi Alonso’s teammate in the Furia Roja is also a transfer target for Juventus, as Marcos Senna has impressed.

“Currently it is just rumour,” pointed out the Villarreal midfielder’s agent, Eli Coimbra. “If there really is an offer then we will evaluate it, the same way we always have done.”

This losing patience bit is intruiging. (#2992)

Blanc has gone public to say that he wants the final squad in place for the pinzolo next weekend in 8 days time.

Looks like Stankovic will sign which leaves plenty of cash for one more €15m-€20m signing and a new defender, both of which should be announced next week. This factors in the scambo or straight sale situation re Almiron and Tiago.

If I was in charge of signing two more, additional to Stankovic, it would be to use most of the cash on Zapata to strengthen the defence and use Marchisio, as Xabi Alonso and Aquilani appear to be fading hopes.

medical on Tuesday. :eyebrows:

maybe it's earlier than that(Monday) to distract the media or it's really on Tuesday to let him party a bit if Spain wins.

i hate that we cant close a deal properly, i'm not surprised that alonso is losing patience, if we were really keen on him this should have been wrapped up prior to euro 2008. management shortcomings yet again
