I wonder if we can buy De Rossi instead of Alonso. De Rossi is better and Italian as well. I recon we can get him for similar amount of money.
You are either  or :spliff:. There is no way that we would be able to sign De Rossi with the likes of ManUre, Barca & Real Madrid after him, they would also be able to offer him better wages.

Juventus Are A Great Club - Alonso

After his great performance in Spain's match against Greece at Euro 2008, Juventus fans can't wait for Xabi Alonso to be officially announced as their new purchase.

"I am very calm," said the player to Sky. "I don't have much to say about Juve because at the moment I'm very concentrated on the Euros with Spain. There is no news on my future. At the moment my future is only the Euros."

On the negotiations going on with the Old Lady, he said: "We'll see what happens with Juve: it's hard to say right now. In Liverpool I spent 4 fantastic years, but I must admit I have always been fascinated by Italian football. But it's early to talk about the future: we'll see."

The Spanish international talked about his admiration for the Bianconeri: "Juve are one of the biggest teams in Europe, perhaps the biggest in Italy: they have many fans not only in Italy, but all over the world.

"They have champions like Buffon, Nedved, and Del Piero who have won a lot of things together. They're a team who want to get back to winning the Scudetto and who also want to compete in the Champions League. A great club, in a word. Sissoko [who used to play with Alonso at Liverpool]? I haven't spoken to him, he's in Africa to play with Mali."

Skysport1 in about an hour:

X. Alonso: Words of love towards Juve.

- I don't want to say much about Juve because I'm concentrating on the EURO.
- No news about my future.
- Great times at Pool but admits the Italian league fascinates him.
- Juve is one of the biggest clubs in Europe, maybe even the biggest in Italy.
- They have a lot of fans(not ventilators Fred :D) even outside Italy.
- They have champions like Buffon, Del Piero and Nedved who had great success.
- A team who wants to win back the scudetto and compete in the CL.
- Didn't speak to his friend Momo because he's playing in Africa.

Hmm.. I just think that Moggi would have had a plan for this. He would have accused Roma's manager mesing with De Rossi sister or something, so he would start getting upset with current team and Juve would offer an oportunity to make an revenge on Roma.. He might agree on this. Just an humble idea..

Agree, De Rossi is good. I bet you would want us to have him.
