With the Skankovic saga with him turning us down etc.....etc.... in the past to which even i hated him for. Remember sissoko saying Liverpool are a bigger club than Juventus? and turned down a chance to come. I dont want stankovic anyway cos hes old. and we promised to invest in youth and it seems that we're getting rid of our youngsters. slight contradiction from our board. basically thay havent a clue what they're doing. im all for getting in a few loan deals if what were believe to read with drenthe/ivanovic etc, just for this season anyway. It makes me laugh as the players were going for lately seem to be other clubs rejects. is this going to be our way for the future. Some future i must say.

If that 29 year old is top class it doesnt matter much, as Neddie was, but if its someone who is in horrendous form for a long period and even when in his better days, is notoriously inconsistent, then its not too good. And it has more to do with those factors then the age, even if the fact its a short term signing is vital too.

I had a feeling this move would fall through, and as of right now, it looks like it's really going to fall through. Ranieri originally wanted Alonso, Gigli told him that they weren't going to spend that much after they spent 20 million euros on Amauri, so now he's going to have to settle for Stankovic. Ranieri tells the media that he really wanted Stankovic all along in hopes that the fans would reconsider knowing that Ranieri was the one who brought the brilliant Sissoko.

i think the alonso deal is stalling because of liverpool's deal with barry is stalling. its simple if they dont get their man we dont get ours. they wont get rid of him without having a player to replace his role unless there is a mayor profit.

our board has been looking for alternatives as they should.

we need to be patient and our board aswell. once the barry saga concludes everything should speed up one way or another.

now if liverpool sign barry and we miss out on alonso we should burn secco.
