You are one lazy mofo (not like Dru though, who still wants to play after 3 times of "non-playing" ), it was extra annoying to read because you were really on to something with how you were thinking, but too lazy or selfish (selfish because game isnt about self-perservation, but as a C trying to everything possible to flush out Gs before they get upperhand) to really get your thoughts and hunches out there.

JBF even implored you and you backed down. Its extra important that those who sense something, even if wrong conclusions, put it to words so others can react to it, and it opens up things to analyze (like how Kyle put Melo on the spot, who showed himself to be obvious G. Or how JBF in general was doing). If it doesnt happen, then Cs are nothing but sheep, that can easily be ripped apart. Plus the most important factor, its fun to analyze, snoop and manipulate others with every word, even as a C (even more so as a C).
I have actually been working on a huge project. I had a big presentation today and would have been way more active the rest of the week. I said that about twice in the thread.

Anyways I think it is about self preservation, especially in the early days. I wasn't about to spill to JBF or anyone until at least one of the G's went down. Why reveal a master plan only to be exactly right yet have the game lost because you got whacked the second day and the other C's were incapable of looking for the right things or following your directions?

Look you've got Sabet and Alen. To obvious G candidates from the first day. Constantly trying to manipulate the game by getting rid of the "inactives". Why would a C want to get rid of an "inactive"? Right now they're worthless. In later rounds they can turn into a game changing vote or at worst a bad Gangster. How does no one else pick up on that? And why should I sacrifice myself in the early rounds when the game is won late?

Alen would have been the next to go. That was obvious. If he hadn't ended the game I think the C's would have won.

It's not about putting all your cards on the table and seeing how the house reacts. It's about reading the house, sizing up the competition (which until the 3rd day is everyone) and then at the exact right moment, when you're positive your actions won't go in vein, then you lay it down.

Just my thoughts.:D

I would agree with your way of thinking if more was thinking like that, but if as a civilian you figure things out, its best to get it out there (in not allways too obvious ways), because the civilians needs direction and a good start. Otherwise things can go haywire quick, because as I said, too often its set into the routine of acting like sheep who dont question anything and just go with the flow. Thats way more dangerous then the Gs. Which yes I agree you would prolly have won.

I think it's really up to the detective. If you have a good detective who can pick up on things.

Also, knowing your posters is good too. Some will overcompensate, other just act the same.

Someone had to branch out and take a risk. Most of the C's were too scared of getting themselves killed to make a move.

I'm not slanting the way you play Aaron but if all the Cs did that then the G's would win easily.

Yeah, because they would be playing the same exact way.

I would have died early, but I'm not sure if the Cs would have won.

Early deadline, Janna's absence until late in the game, the bug and not getting the recruit on time ruined everything. In normal circumstances we'd have had the recruit earlier (which was gonna be JBF most probably) and it was gonna be a whole different game, with JBF not accusing Melo at all. On top of it...JBF was an investigated C who knew who's the D.
I was a pre-planned early death since we all expected that I'll be investigated in the first two days. The game was all set up for an easy G win after Rab investigated JBF, but the things I mentioned above ruined the game and it had to be stopped. No point playing it anymore.

But it would have been a C win probably if Janna let us play until midnight. Things were already fucked up for the Cs and only JBF's recruitment could have saved the situation (we'd have whacked the D and JBF wasn't gonna be a suspect).

How about this?

In the future, if there are deadline issues, then the deadline should be extended rather than shortened.
My thoughts exactly when Bezzy announced the new date yesterday. Dunno if I posted it or not.

Found it really stupid to make it earlier and hence shorten the available time on the 2nd day, which is usually the most action-full given a previous day of nothing but making judgments.

I told Melo with capital letters not to send PMs to people but he was like "Dude, I am almost gonna convince this guy to do this" "Dude, I convinced this guy to vote this way" etc etc.

You can't play the G role with lunatics like Melo :D
If we just played like I told them at the beginning, this was gonna be a piece of cake, especially with the D making a bad investigation today.
I was going to investigate Sab and no one else.

Why does Gabe keep signing up for this? At least Blondu tried this time.

Look at this:

Meh, I wanted to give Janna a chance but I can't stand her english, it annoys me to no end to read her posts (specially if they're long) so I didn't really bother.

I actually wasn't gonna participate since I had a couple busy days but Janna sent me a pm in which she said "confirm if you're going to play, if I don't hear anything from you, you're in" wtf? Most logical step would be taking the person out if he doesn't confirms.

I didn't read that pm (or the one with the role) until after the game had started

It was :(
That's why I was so mad that it was ruined like that. There was no point continuing after she lynched Melo.

Btw, I did promise you that I'll whack you, didn't I? :D
i knew it, fucking bastard, i sent hoori a pm telling her that i thought you and rab were definite g's:D turns out rab wasnt a g though, he was acting different but i guess that was because he was the detective

:lol2:

I actually thought it said to reply IF you wanted to play so I didn't 'cause I wasn't sure of my schedule.

    let discuss the rules
    I was thinking about these
-the D can't investigate on the first day. He can investigate after the first lynch
-voting is from 10:00 till 22:00 CET
-Jailer has to pm the narrator before 19:00 CET. The person in jail will be there the moment the jailer pm the narrator till the deadline
-In the night, between 22:00CET and 10:00 CET only 1 thing can happen - The Gs can recruit.
-the BG, Lawyer can pm the narrator till the deadline

if everyone is fine with it I will tonight start a new game and pm everyone their roll

There should be a rule that if I die I am re-animated in three days as the lord baby Jesus Christ.
Can someone explain the special roles? I have no idea what anyone bar a C or G does...

    Okay with me.

But those who don't have enough time to play and can barely post should announce us before kick-off.

Exactly, we say the same before every game, but still people sign up and barely post at all. If you're not going to participate then just don't sign up from the beginning.
