Biased media.... So Iran is testing a few missiles in the Gulf and that means we're off to another war? What Ahmadinejad is doing is perfectly sane and rational. After all, the US and Israel have repeatedly threatened to launch air raids against Iran. These tests are just Iran's answer to that. "Don't mess with us, we'll defend ourselves.".
The western media have repeatedly edited the Ahmadinejad declarations to make him look as the bad guy, the huge threat that we all need to fear. Yet, if you look at the whole interviews of this guy, you'll learn that he wants a democratic solution for Palestina, that he wants peace and stability in the middle east, and that Iran will not attack anyone. Sure, these statements don't have to be believed 100%, but they counterbalance the madman image that the western media are building.
Western people have a wrong idea of Iran. I know many people who travelled there and had a great time. It's a superb country with very nice, educated and hospitable people. Sure, you can't drink alcohol, insult religious symbols and stuff like that, it's not a 100% free country, but it's not half as bad as people make it out to be. In fact, I'd like to travel there myself, the only thing that makes me reluctant to go is the US foreign policy...
I don't see the Iranian force showcase as a threat to world peace, on the contrary. The more you show your weapons, the less likely you are to use them.
