Allright, I was browsing through XT forum and I found this post:

World Cup Cyclic Jynx:

It started in Spain 82, which is the center of the cycle. It was made by a Spanish moorish gypsy witch after Spain and favourits Brazil and Argentina got eliminated in the second round. It goes like this:

------------------------------------1930: Uruguay (On home soil)
---------------------------------1934: Italy
------------------------------1938: Italy
---------------------------1946, 42: No WC due to WW II
------------------------1950: Uruguay
---------------------1954: Germany
------------------1958: Brazil (In Europe)
---------------1962: Brazil
------------1966: England (On home soil, only time, European)
---------1070:Brazil
------1974: Germany
---1978: Argentina
1982: Italy (Center of the cycle)
---1986: Argentina
------1990: Germany
--------- 1994:Brazil
-------------1998: France (On home soil, only time, European)
----------------2002: Brazil
-------------------2006: Brazil (In Europe)
----------------------2010: Germany
-------------------------2014: Uruguay
----------------------------2018: No WC due to WW III
-------------------------------2022: Italy
----------------------------------2026: Italy
-------------------------------------2030: Uruguay (On home Soil)
Cycle finished, then.

Fairly interesting. I remember my uncle showing me another one he got in the mail like 7 years ago but I totaly forgot how that one worked. Any body got any more such theories?

Frickin' hell! Pretty darn accurate, isn't it?

I don't cause I see neither Italy nor Azerbaijan (year right) until 2022.

2006 will be a big test for this theory. I think Germany will reorganize and win it.

I think it has already started, so it might end in 2018 when int-l terrorist network is destroyed alltogether. So the theory can be true! ;)

Sorry... didn't mean to take this off-topic.

Pretty bloody interesting, but I have a feeling the events of world history don't revolve around the football calendar :D

Utterly ridiculous! For this cycle to be accurate wouldn't there have to be two skipped world cups in the future, since there were two skipped for WWII. Furthermore, I don't think that Uruguay can win a world cup on homw soil because the 2030 WC won't be in South America...

Fine thanks, albeit somewhat disappointed... and yourself?

Is it just a coincidence that you're back here after every country represented in your signature has been knocked out of Portugal?

I've been better, but the world has not ended yet. And yes, it is just a sad coincidence...
