Italy - France Final, Del Piero to score  bashing the Euro2000 critics
exactly my thoughts :) it will be a beautiful story (or horrible if doesn't turn up right....) but Portugal I like somewhat (and betted on them too as backup before WC) so I'll be more relaxed with Italy - Portugal.

where can I buy this tshirt ? France beating Brazil would be sweet, probably impossible but sweet. The only time I was cheering for France was the 1998 Final (oh, and the euro clash with england) and I guess it's time to cheer for France again ! ;) Allez Les Bleus !!! *but just for this match*

I agree, that's a good match. They beat them in a friendly (Deco). Roberto Carlos was the usual prik there and tried to smack the ref and talked badly about him.

Portugal is going to have their hands full. On a normal day, they should have the edge over England. Particularly with England's squeaking-by approach lately.

But 18 yellow cards later, etc., Portugal is hurting. If England blows this match, where they should have the clear advantage (in midfield dominance at a minimum), I don't think you could draw any conclusion other than Scolari owns Eriksson every which way. ;)

Damn Scolari for not bringing along Manuel Fernandes -- he would have been an ideal sub for Costinha. And João Moutinho for Deco ... and Ricardo Quaresma for C Ronaldo. Ahhh, the Under-21s... :undecide:

But still... Força Portugal!

Yeah, jeez thank god quaresma isn't there. Would actually be an improvement on ronaldo.. which is a pretty frightening prospect in itself. I agree that we should have the ddge in this one, however its never that simple with england and the chances of extra time are probably pretty high.

Yes. You are right Portugal start as underdogs for some strange reason - just as Portugal themselves were to Holland
Oh for the love of God... Portugal the underdogs against Holland? The both of them have met on 9 occasions since 1990, of which Holland won 1. Add to that the fact that Holland had a vastly unexperienced side against veterans such as Figo and there is no way in hell Portugal were the underdogs in that game. Plus, the Dutch were severely lacking in quality. Do you think Van Basten thought it would be fun to play defensively? No. We just couldn't do any better against strong sides like Argentina and the Ivory Coast.

Portugal underdogs my ass.
