Cannavaro will be lifting the Cup.....
Wouldn't you be happier if Cannavaro was injured and Totti suspended thus DP were captain?

Fli is right. Del Piero is the 2nd Captain of the Azzurri team after Cannavaro. Surely It'll be more emotional to see Ale lifting the Cup but It actually doesn't matter as long as Italy win the worldcup.

    That, I don't understand.
the truth is that i have supported italy for a long time, estonia football was in very low level back then, and is actually not very good right now either. Dont get me wrong, ofcourse it would make me happy if estonia would get to euro or wc tournament and nation football would develop, but i was supporting italy in the early 90-s when estonia didnt have a team yet and if i have supported one team for years already then i just wont jump to the next boat. i am a true azzurri fan :toast: , and italian calcio admirer, and no i am not a glory hunter who just chose italy because they are usually one of the favorites to win a tournament.
And then there are some political reasons why i am not very big estonia nt fan, well you know there was that big russian occupation period and there are a lot of russian people living in estonia also, this occupation thing is also one reason why estonia football is where it is right now, and then there are those russian players who play for the NT. yeah i should be happy or proud they are playing for estonia, but the trueth is that they are russian people who just stayed in this country and didnt go back to russia when estonia got independent and some of them hardly speak estonian language. and i am not very big fan of russian people, political and historical reasons and the pain they did to my country, and then there are russian people in estonia who just make me hate their entire country. Ofcourse we could say years will go, and the ammount of russians who live in estonia will decrease but russia is estonia nearest neighbour country and who knows what might happen, one day they could just take over my country, look how small we are, and how big they are.

    Good forecast for the Azzurra

GENEVA (EFE) -- The Italian selection will be the winner of the next World Cup of Germany, affirm the economists of the Swiss bank UBS, that have been served of the tools of the statistics and of the econometrics to predict who will be raised with the trophy in the end of July 9.

According to the simulation done by the banking company in the quarter finals Germany will lose against Argentina, Italy will be imposed in that same round against France, Holland will gain to England and in the 4 encounter, Brazil will impede to Spain to continue ahead.

The semifinal, likewise, will be dominated by Brazil and Italy, after the rout of the Dutch before the "canarinhos" and that of the Argentines before the Italians.

If they continue those forecasts, to the ones that the team in around al chief economist Klaus Wellershoff attributes a 89 percent reliability, in the face to face of the two favorite will be Italy who be raised with the trophy, in spite of to have lost before the latin-americans in 1970 and 1994.

The model inclines in favor of the Italians because, though Brazil is the only team that has earned a world one out of its continent of origin, the statistics shows that to play in the continent "local" enlarges the possibilities of victory.
