A very good yet rather old side when looking at the midfield. I believe Poborsky is indeed 34 years of age.

Vladimir Smicer, another one of those old stalwarts, is out of the World Cup due to injury. Watch out for some more injuries to the elderly members of that midfield.

Alright this one's for Jeeks. I fished this one straight out of a couple of newspapers, who base their formation on the training-sessions and Van Basten's comments along the lines of "I have the formation in my head" and "I'll try out my favourite formation in the friendlies to come to see if it needs changing, which I don't expect"

One thing the newspapers are uncertain about: Johnny Heitinga could be replaced by Andre Ooijer.

Van der Vaart and Heitinga are by far my favourite players. Sublime skills for the former and stylish defending for the latter... I like that.

I think Ooijer WILL replace Heitinga, he should replace him anyway. Also Kuijt will pretty likely start ahead of Van Persie.
