The thing is I do think this can be a legitimate struggle. I am not an expert on homosexuality or on transgender issues. But regardless of how anyone might feel about their proposed answers to certain difficulties, I am sure we can all agree that it is simply easier to be heterosexual and comfortable in the body you were born in.

But using this World Cup to make it about them, rather than the people who died building stuff for this World Cup, has definitely harmed their cause. Honest to God my gut feeling right now towards them is: "Fuck you.".

All of that might be true, but:

- Argentina did play the best football of any team in the tournament and they actually have the stats to back it up;
- France was awarded a rather soft penalty in extra time to make it 3-3.

It's true that Argentina were lucky along the road and I felt Messi in particular maybe had a bit of extra protection from the refs.

But can you honestly say any other team deserved to win it?
