VAR isnt there for checking though, its only usable for obvious errors. If there was contact that caused the tripping (Id have to see a better replay to be sure there was), VAR really cant intervene there even if its a soft pen.

So my point how was it a dive like you stated? A dive IMO means it wasn't a penalty. No worries Euro soccer is still the master class.
