I thought it was incredibly poor form from Ghana.

Maybe they should have focused on, you know, trying to win the game and advancing.

A shame we haven't seen a good African team in a while btw. Ivory Coast were always underwhelming, but that's probably the last big African team we had.
Morocco and Senegal say hi

I don't understand the Uruguay hate. They're a tiny nation giving it all they've got in the only way they know how.
I think they play dirty football.

That said, 2 WCs and competitive matches from a nation of 3.5M ... coming from someone who feels dwarfed in a nation of 10M?

Respekt

Morocco has some good, technical players though
They're decent (and probably could be really great, if you realise just how many solid Moroccan players play all over Europe), but it's not like they play thrilling football. Quite the opposite.

Yes, but that's not my point.

My point is there are no world class African sides. They beat mediocrity. It's like winning in Oceania.
I'm a little confused. You seem to be measuring the continent's performance based heavily on Ghana. Yet not only did they finish last in their group of the AfCON, they are arguably the weakest Ghana in years.
