Official: Gueye Brothers Banned from World Cup

The Qatari Sporting Ministry has decided to ban Senegal's Pape Gueye and Idrissa Gueye from playing in the 2022 World Cup due to the ongoing crackdown on LGBTQ+ speech. The sporting body, in conjunction with FIFA's President Infantino, decided the Senegalese players' names cause too much controversy, taking away from the football played on the pitch. The decision is said to be inspired by Florida Governor Ron De Santis' "Don't Say Gay" bill that was recently passed. Even though the Gueye brothers have nothing to do with sexual preference, they are taking rather well to the decision. "I'm Gueye, not Gay!" said Pape Gueye. "Who cares, I didn't want to play in the this fraud World Cup anyway."
