I don't think people are going to associate this World Cup with Qatar's human rights issues once it's all done. People's attention spans are short.

curious: what do you base this on? western media reports? i have seen several videos on twitter of European fans having a good time over there and dont really seem to be bothered by the lack of alchohol in the stadiums. People adapt and after all: are there to watch football.

Also the vibes at the Saudi game was great, marocco today was loud af. They bring fans and crowds too

Packed stadiums, culture, drinks, beauties without hijabs, no fake fans, going to be dope.

Maybe an occasional mass shooting or two but it’s part of the experience.
