The vibes in Qatar seem off, crowds are relatively dead. Almost like vibes can’t be bought. Also doesn’t help that they don’t serve alcohol and have an oppressive “culture”

Boycotting no. I'm watching the games. I'm not particularly enthusiastic about it though. I also feel like whoever wins it will be tied to this tournament forever and that seems less than ideal.

curious: what do you base this on? western media reports? i have seen several videos on twitter of European fans having a good time over there and dont really seem to be bothered by the lack of alchohol in the stadiums. People adapt and after all: are there to watch football.
Also the vibes at the Saudi game was great, marocco today was loud af. They bring fans and crowds too
