Müller basically announced his retirement :touched:

Come on Neuer, you too pls.
He probably doesn't feel he's having more to give for the German NT. He's also been quite mediocre for Germany for at least 5-6 years. Müller's last good tournament for Germany was the 2014 WC.

Neuer I could see stay on until 2024, but wouldn't be surprised if he's calling it quit and focussing on Bayern solely as well.

Well, 4 won world cups in a row and in two of them the semifinals were all European, while in three of them the finals were all European. Of course South Americans are great and there is a lot of quality in some teams outside Europe and S. America, but the European arrogance is deserved for now. Sometimes costly, but deserved. It will take a completely non-European final to shut the European mouths.
Two of those cups based in Europe. And the one in Brazil their team was horrible that year. Obviously Europe has the highest density of really good teams but I see a lot of sour grapes when things don’t go their way.

Present, past, future. You lot are supporting European clubs, watching European leages, etc... Im happy to see teams like Japan performing well but lets be real, the Europe is the center of the football.
And the European teams are doing as good as ever. 8 out of 13 European teams will make the knockouts. Half of the teams there will be European.

Asian or even African teams are not the cream of the crop. These teams are not built to win world cups but there has been genuine improvement in the results over the past few years especially with Asian teams.

We need to acknowledge that smaller teams have improved rather than saying stupid shit like European teams losing on purpose so that they could get an easier draw.

Simple, this Japanese team is set to play counters, while Costa Rica literally defended with 10 men. They had defensive midfielders, defenders and one former striker who now plays in midfield. All they did was defend the 0:0 and the Japanese couldn't penetrate that defense.
Tbh yes it is quite obvious, as it's a problem they often face in AFC qualifying. They don't have a top striker to make the difference, more like lots of 7/10 players, but the energy and ethic can match any team.
