All this reminds me of EURO 2012, when England discovered Pirlo. That was a sure win for England in the quarters against Italy, said the English fans and media. But a surprise happened and #21 in Italy completely owned the midfield with his playmaking skills.
Where does he play? How come he's not in the EPL yet?
After that game the english said we'll match your Pirlo and raise you Wilshire

No-one here is under-estimating Croatia. Believing that you can win against a good team is not the same as thinking your opponent is $#@!.
Nonsense, the mood here is quite the opposite, they are already pointing at how weak croatia was against Iceland, russia, and Denmark.

You only have to switch on five live to talk sport. Then the :inter: tabloids to sites like bbc and sky sports. All this trash talk has multiplied by tenfolds. It's coming home son.

"Togetherness and 'Band of brothers' spirit is why England will prevail on Wednesday". Even the players are saying these things.

It's all find and dandy and the team work is definitely why England are where they are. How come they ignore that what goes for England, goes for the others in the semis too?
Talking about togetherness and team spirit, Croatia sent Nikola Kalinic home for hurting the team spirit. Every single attacker in Croatia scored a goal (Mandzukic, Rebic, Kramaric). Every midfielder scored (Modric, Rakitic, Badelj, Perisic) and/or assisted a goal (Brozovic, Badelj, Modric, Kovacic). Even the defenders scored or assisted a goal (Vida, Pivaric, Vrsaljko). The keeper was there to help during penalties.
Croatia got 12 yellow cards, and nobody got 2 yellows. Unbooked players were taking the "fouling job" for a team mate who was already on a yellow.
This isn't togetherness and team spirit?

Or Belgium with their stars... They are all playing as one with half the squad on the scoring sheet and 13 players scoring or assisting.

But only England, mate.

 tbh the only thing I'm concerned about is that human centipede that England play during every corner. Thats straight outta Hollywood. Defending that is gonna take some effort the only thing I can thing of is play a 3 man wall in front of that centipede.

I highly doubt the Belgian media is writing very much about England. Same with the French and Croatian media.

Of course the English media is going to have an angle that caters to their own audience. I'm sure that every team in the SF has a togetherness, but no-one here's buying a newspaper that runs a double page spread on the Croatian team spirit. That's for a Croatian audience, and written in Croatian, and not English.

I'd love to hear from you about what's happening with Croatia, how they might play and approach the game etc. Their strengths and weaknesses from someone who knows the team. But it seems all we ever do here is prod and poke.

Croatia fucken sucks. Denmark were better than them in large parts of the game, and that's a Denmark who's worst player that night was Eriksen.

England is my favourite in that game. Balkans gonna Balkan.

When it's down to the last four every team has a chance to take it home. Fortune and nerves are involved and anything could happen. I do know that out of those four teams, England deserve it the least based on the teams they had to beat, and by far. They could become world champions by beating only one tournament favorite (in the final) and one solid team (Croatia).

Other than that they've faced nothing but awful teams.

According to this, Croatia have sacked their assistant coach but not Vida, who has been warned by FIFA and not given a two-match ban. Is this true?

Yup.
This could be a problem, because instead of concentrating on England, the players and the board spent the last day and a half on this stupidity. Really dumb by Vida and Vukojevic to create such unneeded drama.

Also, Vrsaljko almost surely won't make it after the injury against Russia. It's expected that Vida will take his place at RB and Corluka will take Vida's spot at CB.

Time to get excited, lets break some windows and piss on a beggar.

The script is written, easy path, anarchy in the opposition squad and in the final France or Belgium will suffer a similar disappointment.

It's coming home.

Madness. Why do this? Those guys can't be the brightest, and I don't admit to understanding the context, but a warning was out there after the Switzerland / Albania gestures. Al least Shakiri et al did their thing in the heat of the moment, but to go and post a video on Facebook!?

P.S. Corluka. Be good to see Charlie again (his nickname at Spurs/Man City). Big fan favourite along with Kranjčar back in the day.

This shit is getting quite dull and tiresome.

Idiotic. In the heat of the moment and during celebrations after beating Russia, those two (who played in Ukraine for Dynamo Kiev) made a video saying: "Glory to Ukraine" and "This win is dedicated to Dynamo (Kiev) and Ukraine".

My guess is that some former teammates of theirs asked them to dedicate a potential win over Russia to Ukraine and these two dumbos actually did it.

Normally this shouldn't be a problem. Noone would object if after the win over Brasil, Hazard said "This win is dedicated to Chelsea and England", but considering the situation between Russia and Ukraine, this was the dumbest thing they could do.

What can I add... dumb footballers.
