Don't get me wrong. I hate Neymar. He's a disgusting little noob. And I wouldn't want him here. He's far too selfish and when on the team it's all about him. But Brazil is backing him. His teammates are backing him. And he's only human. I'm at the same age, born in 91' and I can imagine what it's like to be there in the center of the storm.

In regards to your thought on coaching level, I think it's because all the smaller nations have hired good coaches. This is why you see so many top teams struggling, and small teams succeeding. The gap has been cut short. Only those with a clear brand of football (Spain) or superstars (Portugal, Ronaldo) live up to the expectations.
Everybody knows how to defend to an extend that makes it hard for even the best to break up their defense. Years ago, Argentina would trash Iceland, but now Iceland knows how to stop any great team. And even harm them..
