Nordic teams have been annoying to watch this year

Like a bunch of bootleg versions of Man United

Although i dont mind Iceland, i really hope neither Sweden nor Denmark make it past the group stages :claire:
Denmark will almost definitely qualify to playoffs, they're in a good spot due to their result against Peru. Shouldn't go far though, not much of a team. Sweden will almost definitely not qualify, even this years Germany isn't bad enough to lose to them

nordic football is usually a recycled version of the good old traditional british kick and run style. occasionally they might have some actually good players like eriksen now or elkjaer larsen and laudrup back in the days, but these teams are rarely fun to watch.
What a load of nonsense.

This world cup is kind of disappointing - apparently there is no real passion for it in Russia. There is no Italy and no Netherlands. No USA and no China is also terrible when it comes to audiences.

So far I have also found the quality of the football pretty bad.

The group phase is always shit, especially the first round. Nothing new about that. 1st game nerves affect most teams.

Idk about you guys but i've thoroughly enjoyed the WC so far

Yes there's been a few shit games here and there but there have been entertaining games too

Spain-Portugal, Argentina-Iceland, Mexico-Germany, Peru-Denmark etc were all great games.

No passion ? bunch of BS if you ask me.

The quality of football in general is at it's lowest. Too much physicality, too much theatrics and soft calls. Too much hype for average players and teams. Very few real talented players around, nations that used to produce some of the best footballers around aren't even good enough to qualify to a below average tournament. This year's CL was shit too. The WC is a just a representation of all that.

There's a reason we've seen the rise of the underdogs, small teams playing neck to neck with the big boys when it's actually the lack of real talent from the big boys not the other way around. Modern media is fucking ridiculous and should stop fucking overrating every little fucker that can make a pass or score a goal.

:agree: We can't expect more from the first games of the group phase. The Spain - Portugal is already a "world cup-classic".

And I expect we'll see 3 decent-good games today. Tomorrow might suck, but from thursday and onwards there's a lot of good games ahead of us, and when we hit game 3 of the groups and the knockout phase, excitement and quality will rise a few levels.

:agree:

Which is why I'm actually quite satisfied with the World Cup so far.

We are pretty overrated imo.
If you win today against Senegal, you should be thru after that, but I'd say you won't make it passed the quarters. Poland belongs to that pretty big group of European teams of decent quality: Denmark, Sweden, Iceland, England, Switzerland, Croatia, Russia, and Serbia.

We can beat England imo. No chance against Belgium though.

@Zacheryah what u say?
I saw how they didnt do shit against hillbillypanamabob as long as they sat organised.

And how they at times could walk till our box

And how when it was still 1-0 hillybillypanamabob created open chances when still trying.

This team, i call it Zeman_International, wont do shit agaisnt a balanced side. But they will be fun to watch trash the small plebs

Depends on your defensive organisation: Belgiums defense isn't anything worth talking about, so you'd produce a good amount of chances, so if you can shut down Hazard and De Bruyne, you would have a shot. But no doubt Belgium would be the favourite.

I expect Belgium to be good against the bad, but bad against the good.
