Oddly enough I think Germany wasn't even that bad. Poor defending on the goal though.

They are a good team but they lack a lot, their defending was bad and were it not for mexico wasting 783 counter attacks the result would have been a lot worse.
They don't have a commanding midfielder and above all they do not have goalscorers.

Their wing backs were atrocious

Tactically they were all over the place, they wanted to overwhelm Mexico with numbers up the pitch but it left them terribly exposed

Was it a tactical decision, do you think, for the full backs to play in midfield and not defend - or individual error?
