Beppe usually says something like "he's interesting" or "he's under contract with _____", but "more than a possibility"... I hope that means it's done dealio.

@Fred, I know Saudi Arabia has about 30 million inhabitants so I expect them to have a professional football team, but are these guys pros?
China has 1.5 billion inhabitants so u have to wonder how can't they find 16 good players among all that people.
I don't think it works that way, because otherwise China and India would be football powerhouses and Iceland wouldn't have been on this World Cup and no vice versa.

You can't import and buy football culture. But I expect China to be a powerhouse within a generation.

And you know Germany. They don't hold back. 21-0.
Ya theyre overly paid primadonnas to be honest. This is their level, its going to be even more embarassing against Uruguay.

I was really kind of surprised by their style of play. Would think there would be some discipline, knowing that Russia is obviously better, and they would try to sit back keep things simpler. but it seemed like they were more interested in trying neat flicks and link up play in midfield. Almost like they thought they were levels better than they are, or at least wanted to play that way

Was kind of hard to imagine they were playing to even draw let alone win.

Is Egypt a much better team? Aside from just Salah of course.

Egypt is a better team. They have discipline and structure. Also, the players are not that stupid like The Saudis, but if Salah isn't fit, there will be no goals, so the best outcome would be a 0-0 draw (possibly 1-1 with a lucky deflection or a scramble in the box).

What do you think will come of their match against Russia? I think Russia ends up getting second place in the group, but what do I know? :p

Well, Russia are playing at home and heavily favored, but I got to see how Egypt perform tonight. I think Russia might only need a draw against Egypt.
The five goals scored will be crucial. Provided they can draw Egypt and everyone loses to Uruguay that is what will see them through.

I feel this is the most likely scenario as well, 0-0 or 1-1 draw between Russia and Egypt. Cavani and Suarez are going to have a field day in this gourp.
