All that is fine, but what has he done in CL knockouts or the World Cup? I mean... if he's world class?

He's not $#@!, I'm not saying that. He scores goals, but he does miss way too many sitters.

P.S. Where did you get his conversion stats?
I mean, it's hardly on him. The only big misses I remember from him in big games are against Chelsea at SB 3 years ago or so and for Uruguay last CA but both of those happened when he was in the gutter because he played as a winger all the time. Since he became main man he had some issues in the very beginning (Arsenal game) but after that nothing that other strikers don't miss.

He never played in really great teams. PSG is overhyped af, they haven't gone too far in CL, but he was still their top scorer in CL last two years. He scored big goals vs Chelsea in KO, both times against Barca, against Bayern, against RM two times, etc.

Last time Uruguay was really good Forlan was there so he played as a winger too, even now we plays more as a deeper striker and Suarez up top because coaches ask so much from him in the defensive phase.

He does miss sitters, but most of that was when he was played completely out of position and had no confidence at all. Playing wide almost ruined him. Besides, I would rather have a striker who misses a lot, but scores a lot too, than one who scores less, but misses less. Him just getting in so many chances because of his movement helps so much more than a more static striker.

On whoscored divide number of goals by number of shots.
