Cheap Southern European restaurants. Man, I miss that in Belgium. I'd eat out every day.

@piotrr

i've just seen woj's post match interview, and he mentioned that the second goal was due to an injured player suddenly appearing on the pitch. is there any discussion about it in poland? according the replay i've seen, the ref waved niang to return to the pitch the moment krychowiak passed the ball back, so it was unfortunate.

After watching the replay my first thought was WTF ref. The defender could not have anticipated Niang coming in from the sidelines and Wojcek did well to almost reach that ball. The ref dropped the ball there.

Totally agree. It may have been a legit goal since the ref waved him on but it was still bs.

I gotta confess. I’m watching it at a restaurant on replay, and there’s something satisfying about seeing the filthy immos putting it to Poland. :p

There is also something funny about the girl in front the TV: she is now tying up her hair above her head to block the TV as much as possible, totally oblivious that she’s blocking everyone’s view. :lol:
Nice. One of the things I miss about living overseas. We just don't really do street side cafes or places to watch footie, city centers, non fast food street cuisine.

She's probably just trying to get your attention. ;)

I’ll take the perks where and when I can get them. The dourada, btw, is sublime. :D

:lol: Fodboldfeberen has hit us.

When I hear those sporadic utterings, I laugh. With a surprise performance and Argentina fucking up we got a decent shot at the quarters, but no way do we get any further.
Costa Rica made it to the quarters last time around. With Italy and Netherlands out there'll be even more underdogs around that stage in the tournament. Denmark could be one of them :klin: WC is open so far, I could see one or two of the big boys exiting prematurely.

... Denmark could be one of them :klin: ...
they could, but checking the draw for the knockout stage, they should beat either spain or portugal to cause a real upset and make it to the semifinal. i wouldn't bet on that.

btw the only time they met spain at the world cup, this happened:

...and before that, denmark won their group ahead of west germany who went on to play the final. that was a very good danish team, despite the result against spain.
