as much as you may like another national team it should never come to "us" and "we". plus shadowfax is english

Well, that doesn't mean they're pretending to be Italian or what-so ever, they're just using it like this as we do use it for Juventus, though we're not Italians...Thats because we love the Azzurri.

I thought Shadow was Italian.

maybe he mean't by we as an Azzurri Fan.I don't agree with paul, this is sport,we shouldn't go to that argument again (everyone should support his own country).

This isnt the same... Favouring / supporting another nation is one thing, but describing that nation as we / us , as a form of identity is somewhat tragic...

it's tragic in a way when some think themselves as Italians because they support Italian NT,but I don't think it is when I use "we" as one of Azzurri supporters.

Sweden's group with England, Paraguay & Tinidad Tobago looks like a great group for us. Sweden havn't lost against England since 1968, and in my opinion this is our best lineup since 58. Paraguay will be the dark horse. They have lots of players in the best leagues and maybe one of the best attackers in Santa Cruz. They only have one young promising player, their left midfielder Edgar Barreto though and most of their players are old and they might not be able to keep up with Sweden's fast play. Trinidad Tobago will not be able to hurt any team in my opinion.
1. Sweden
2. England
3. Paraguay
4. Trinidad & Tobago

I have to admit I find it somewhat annoying also.

Wasnt actually aimed at you, jus using your post as it was in reply to a similar claim... there are loads of these claims but ive never seen the articles they say are commonplace...

Overhyped... dont think so, we are much more critical of our team than most major footballing nations....
Oh right.

I'd still say we're overhyped but then again you've probably got a much wider viewpoint on that than me, its probably the same if not worse elsewhere I'd imagine. Still any hype this time around, for the first time imo relating to England is actually justified.

Good draw, tough in the Italy and Argentina groups, these have the best matches in the first round.

Easy draw for England, Sweden and Brazil

I think Argentina and Italy have by far, the toughest groups. And both have their work well cut out for them. Teams like the Netherlands and Czech Republic are potential champions themselves. They're well adept in crunch situations and have in the past, proven themselves as not just a flash in the pan. The USA arent no pushovers either, with continously successful qualifying campagins behind them since 94, they've just gotten as skilful as their European counterparts, more experienced and understood the game better than before. Although , I think its going to be hard for them to put one over the likes of Italy and the Czech Republic in Group E. But having said that, with Ghana also in the mix, this group is going to be anything but predictable. Although, the thought of meeting Brazil in the first knockout phase should be determination enough for these teams to keep on the ball all the way through. Also, about Brazil, I dont think theyre going too far this time around. Yes, you heard me right.
