World Cup 2006 Draw (14 Viewers)

Ok now that we all know the identities of the 32 teams playing in next year finals, we have yet to find out who will play who. The draw will be on the 9th of December 19:15 GMT time. For now we only know the venues and times of matches. The opening match will be held in Munich, the final in Berlin, and the semi-finals in Munich and Dortmund. I don't believe the seeding of teams are out yet. But I believe we will have a more balanced distribution this year, since Japan and Korea will not be leading groups. I would speculate, Germany, Brazil, Italy, Argentina, England, France, and Holland to lead groups, leaving Spain out as a major force (they are over-rated anyways).

Hopefully my States will recieve a decent group like one we had in 2002...actually when you think about it South Korea, Poland, and Portugal is one hell of a grouping, considering the hosts were included. No matter what group we are placed in I'm confident we can upset a few countries as we should have upset those bastard Germans in the quarterfinals last time if the referee would have only called the handball on Frings...

The US outlasted a pretty tough group last time and, in my humble and independent opinion, played quite valiantly against the Germans.

This is one WC where, in light of the surprises like Greece a couple years ago, seeing US in the SFs or even final isn't entirely insane.

I just watched that...It is a shame that such a major tournament was marred by such grave refereeing mistakes.

They always have been very common and frequent actually; there's just more camera's, different angles and better modern technology to freeze scenes etc. It's better documented today
