I've done a lot with studying/working in other countries. I also have used a lot of resources at my universities and various organizations in New York to get there. If you happen to have any questions about possible organizations or programs you wanted to work with in NYC. I might know some people who have done the same program or similar ones. I have a lot of "international" friends who came to New York for a semester or a summer. I'm not really sure what you are asking exactly but I do have a decent amount of friends who have done similar programs as you seem to be considering.

Oh, but the loaf-pinching exclamation of "Staaate!" ... plus the look on his face?

He may as well be hands-up-on-the-counter in a hospital gown getting Roto-rootered for polyps.

The funniest thing is that Bes didn't even reply. He's always all over Turk, whatever Turk says Bes is ready to reply, but this time he was left speachless.

BOSTON?

The most racist city on the East Coast?

I don't think so.

I could see him in......well I really can't see him anywhere, maybe Jacksonville/Miami/Atlanta.

I really don't know, but Boston would be that last place I would tell him to go.

Thats my SHIIT! had 5 of my best years there :touched:

Right now I'm considering a Belgian project that offers me two possibilities: I either take a language course of about two months or they help me look for internships. The latter option is obviously a bit more uncertain.

If I were you, I would avoid doing the language option because those classes are just a whole bunch of people who are trying to pass the TOEFL. You won't have the opportunity to mingle much with the "locals" if that makes sense. I knew a couple of girls who did the English program at NYU. They were cool but the program put them in too much of a comfort zone.

I think you have a grasp of the English language that you should be either taking regular courses or an internship of some sort. I'm sure you could find an internship of some kind at least in NYC or Boston but more specifically NYC because I know we have a million and one opportunities here especially for non-Americans.

Three of my friends from Sweden are taking a semester at San Diego State. Apparently there are a lot of Swedes out there. Might be worth checking out :D
I know 6 friends or former classmates that are studying in San Diego. Not sure whats the deal, Swedes just go for the california weather? :p

Englishmen too, btw. I've lived all over the country and never seen so many Brits until I lived here.

I understand them in parts, your country is like a continent with the weather seasons of the whole world in various part of the country (I wonder how that for americans that move around, must be pretty bizzare to be adapt to it).

East coast, NY would be extremely alluring to visit, but to live in, I would probably prefer to live in some place that hasnt the same exaxt weather from ones country. Would be nice in west coast just to go winter-less for a change.
