Juventus returned to training this afternoon in Vinovo after enjoying a day off following Saturday’s 1-1 draw at the San Siro. The Bianconeri were without Antonio Conte, who was in Coverciano for the meeting between Serie A, Serie B and Lega Pro managers, with Angelo Alessio leading a significantly reduced group.

Cesare Prandelli’s selection saw Buffon, Barzagli, Bonucci, Chiellini, Marchisio, Pirlo and Matri join up with the Italian team ahead of Wednesday’s friendly against the United States. Caceres, Lichtsteiner and Vucinic were also absent after being called up for their respective nations.

The players who remained in Vinovo conducted a possession exercise before moving on to contest a six-a-side game on a reduced pitch. Marco Borriello skipped the practice match to undergo an additional athletic workout. The rest of the group then joined the striker for further fitness training.

Alessandro Del Piero and Alexander Manninger did not train after the club granted both players an extra day off.
