Lol what? We essentially forced him into retirement a year early, which he accepted for the club. Then one of the biggest clubs in the world offered him a contract, so he got the final year he wanted at a top club.
I mean, it might work out badly for him if he continues to make mistakes, and he might wish he had stayed retired, but I don't think many people would have turned the move down. Problem for Tek is that he's always been a chill individual, and if he doesn't have a lot of hunger left then you lose concentration, which is basically the death knell for goalkeeping, and the thing he has most struggled with in his career.
He's only 34 so there is no reason physically why he couldn't play for more years, but he's never wanted to play to 40, and once you have mentally stopped it's hard to come back.

I dont agree with this ‘we forced him into early retirement’ argument. He could have terminated the contract and then went to play elsewhere, no issue.

Pulling off a Robben move to help his childhood club would have been understandable, but this is pure amateurish.

He didn't want to step down to a lesser club, it was Juve, a club like Juve, or nothing.

Here's the thing, I don't disagree with your statement 100% but let's be honest. Tek was a top 3 GK in Serie A for basically every year he was with us except basically one turd of a year. Dybala was a top 3 player at his position in Serie far less consistently than Tek and was not as durable or as much a leader imo.
Maybe this is just a situation where attacking players get more fanfare and highlights than keepers but Tek legitimately kept this club competitive for long stretches of time barring like one bad season I can remember. He organized our defense on deadball situations better than most keepers, he was a strong leader and respected, and he left like a legend who respects his club should by not dragging us through extension bullshit, demanding to be sold, or threatening to sue us for wages.
But yes, I would agree that Dybala scored more goals than Tek so Dybala is clearly the way better player /s
