Rememeber Max's last year 2018-19. Juve allowed only 30 league goals with who but Tek and Perin on the team. Rugs was like the first CB sub. MDS played plenty of minutes. No Danilo but instead Cancelo. And no de Ligt. Of course better midfield but Max must have had some defensive system that worked well. Well I assume like less good scoring opportunities so your goalie isn't constantly barraged with shots that makes a good goalie look even better. Looked it up and saw second half of league play he used predominately 4-4-2 formation and a few games with 3-5-2 and 3-4-3. What Max used today and saw posters here who are more familiar than I with regards to formations saying 3-5-2 works well too.


PS Tek no doubt played better that year than last or first few games this season, but maybe games like today can get his confidence back. I wanted Perin today but Max assuming again (since I don't know lol) probably knows Tek's upside is greater than that of Perin.

Get tough with these guys who are slacking.
