So going by what you're saying(not assuming this Cavani transfer),you believe we'll flop in the UCL again next season ? What if make the quarters again and earn a similar figure to the 12-13 season ? We wouldnt have sold Pogba and at the same time would've made a massive chunk of that CL money.Pogba's value would've gotten higher in the process and we would be guaranteed of making more money in the long term than this swap deal would bring. And no,even with Cavani,i dont think we'll be close to that CL crown.Too many competitors atm and a lot of luck is needed for a team like ours.

But then ,you've excluded wages out of this discussion and that in itself will be a huge financial burden on us.

That said,i'd rather have just cash than players if we were to sell Pogba.
I'd rather not believe we will, no. And you make a good point but since we're in assumption territory here, my point was that Cavani would give us a better chance at going even further. Pogba is still a raw talent and still isn't a crucial player for the success we're aiming to achieve at CL level, he will be in the future though.

My other point is that IF we want some immediate impact on Europe that's the kind of sacrifice we'd have to make and as i stated in the last comment, it could also be just as profitable as not selling Pogba + reaching quarter finals again would. But then again, what if we don't?

The difference about having Cavani is pretty clear; Llorente and Tevez can be 20+ goals a season strikers in the right conditions, Cavani will be that guy no matter what. He can do it pretty much by himself at any level.

Oh i didn't exclude wages, that actually messes up my whole point. And i doubt a player of his level would consider a lower salary.

players don't have to be necessarily from the primavera team at juve. I am taking about the likes of berardi, immobile (which actually came from juve), gabbiadini plus players that are going to be world class like iturbe etc..
will you fucking stop talking up berardi and immobile as if they are world class already! and iturbe going to be world class? seriously i've never known someone to overrate players so highly because of half a good season

- - - Updated - - -

How do you know Iturbe will be world class?

How is Immobile even close to being better than the strikers we have now? He's not showing signs of being World Class either

We're not Udinese we need to keep competing at the highest level which isn't going to happen if we use half a team of young, inexperienced players. For every Pogba there is 4,000 useless players.
he's talking out of his ass, anyone who seriously thinks there is no need for Cavani because Immobile and Berardi are better is mentally challenged

I'm thinking if we want to win the CL then we MUST keep the likes of Pogba. Cavani is a superstar but not at the expense of a 20year superstar proving himself every week.

Read some stuff on marchisio and he may not want the bench again next season. So there is cash. Vuc Gio quags...more cash. Replace with berardi, Menez on a free, bring in osvaldo if he does well and one more attacking midfielder or winger. For midfield cover Fernando on a free is sounding good too.

I'm not saying we need Cavani, but he would be a huge upgrade no doubt

Atm we play with two strikers at once, and neither is World Class.
I think Llorente on his own in a 4-3-3 with the right service could be more than good enough but if we're sticking to a 3-5-2 we seriously need more firepower upfront. Somebody who can make it happen against the best teams without being spoon fed chances.

If Conte is switching to a 4-3-3 a LB and another CF are a must in addition to wingers. My preference is for Rodriguez and Mandzukic but with all the wingers that have been rumored it’s difficult to have a preference. At some point I’m sure Berardi and Gabiadini will be on the team. These are the wingers/age/transfermrkt.com-value that are possibilities:

Cerci / 26 / $18m
Di Maria / 25 / $30m
Nani / 27 / $16m
Cuadrado / 25 / $24m
Sanchez / 25 / $30m
Lamela / 21 / $24
Griezmann / 25 / $22m
Draxler / 20 / $30m
Shaqiri / 22 / $20m
Firmino / 22 / $11m
Iturbe / 20 / $10m
Menez / 26 / $14m

Sanchez would be a dream signing. Just imagine him and Vidal but I doubt Juve could afford him. Di Maria is probably the best of the bunch but again can Juve afford him. Cerci, Nani and Cuadrado seem like the most likely signing. The others aren’t as polished and I’m not in favor of signing Menez even if he comes for free.

Cuadrado 24 mill when Nani is 16... yeah, that's likely.

Actually any over 18 mill is unlikely.

90% of europian teams use overlapping fullbacks so if we play we 352 again our "wingbacks" would get $#@!d.
Its not the fact they use overlapping fullbacks that Bayern destroyed us. Usually Vidal and Pogba are able to drift wide and with the WBs push the opposition back. Its the fact that their wingers were Robben and Ribery overlapped by Alaba and Lahm that killed us. Bayern having a midfield that presses with an intensity we've never experienced before also added insult to injury.

The Cercis, Berardis, Gervinhos, and Nanis of the world wouldn't cause that kind of damage to our side and never did. We have not experienced this problem against any of our Serie A or european competitors (including Chelsea) apart from the two teams that host the world's best 4 wingers backed up by very good attacking fullbacks.
We saw this problem again against madrid but conte anticipated that we might struggle out wide like we did against Bayern and switched tactics accordingly. Marchisio played as a defensive RW and we still leaked goals to bale and ronaldo but the match could have went either way (unlike the Bayern game).

Don't expect that having Berardi/iturbe and Tevez/menez as your wingers backed up by Asamoah and Licht to be anything close to being as effective as Robbery backed up by Lahm and Alaba or Ronaldo and Bale (whose partnership has just begun). Expect (if we are lucky) to be as good as Roma. I wouldnt call them CL favorites either.

B81's idol aka Diamanti went for Chinese Super League. I feel bad for B81.
I had to drink myself to sleep last nite. I was absolutely shattered. The only saving grace is that he has moved closer to my neck of the woods. I could possibly go visit a few friends in China and catch a game or two of this fallen hero.

Why aren't we scouting the Argentinean and Brazilian markets? There is bound to be some decent talent there.
