But yes, it makes sense now too. I've said for a long time that we need a 5th midfielder and my first post about Fernando was one saying that he would be a great signing.


Which is why I laughed when people were going ape shit when we were allegedly cutting down to 4 strikers for 2 positions, at the same time saying 4 midfielders for 3 positions was enough.

Yeah, we do need a midfielder. I hope we get him, but some people think he's signed a pre-contract with City in the Summer.

Chances are we'll end up converting Asa, we've already done 2/3rds of the work by starting him at LWB since we purchased him. I doubt Conte will pull the plug now unless we do sign a great left back

Not much point speculating now regardless because there will be about 30 made up transfer rumours from now until the end of the season, most of which we'll discuss and forget about completely.

most top clubs have good leftbacks. even Milan have de sciglio and abate which are not bad at all. juve are the only team that need a proper leftback. u could argue that spurs don't have one but why would he join them instead of us?

You're not understanding me. We COULD afford to buy him. The issue is NOT with MONEY, But the issue is CONTE & Co might not even KNOW that RODRIGUEZ exists.
Therefore it's entirely possible that we don't buy him even though we COULD if we WANTED to.
