So, if the deal does go through, it would be something like 2,75 mil for the player, paid in two installments for a two year period (1,375 mil per year), Beppe style, or eventually a random english club with a french fetish (one Newcastle comes to mind) would pop up and offer an impossible figure like 4+ mil for the club and a payrise for the player and we will miss out on him..

Lamela is overrated and I'd rather sell Vucinic for cash than do weird swaps, especially that we need money and we have Berardi up our sleeve. Lamela would be a stumbling block in case we would like to have Berardi in our squad in the summer. Menez is different story because he is another type of player and we will pay for him peanuts.

milan got him for 20M total (4M in 5 years). thats not much for such a player. however, i dont know what milan would ask for him as they are not stupid like man city.
