I agree, but then Llorente must be benched in 4-3-3.
I know there are other options and solutions, but in 4-3-3 we can't start them both + have good wingers.

So for now i think it's better we go for:

AM
Tevez-Llorente

or

Tevez-CAM
Llorente

Yeah, that's seems the best option for 4-3-3....but i just can't imagine Tevez getting benched...not by Menez/Nani.
Tevez was below average in all CL games and had seriously no impact. 0 assist and 0 goals. if pirlo is injured then tevez plays as attacking mid but if pirlo is fit then llorente, 2 wingers will play and he will be benched.

As I said a while back if we want to change formations without

A) Upsetting one of our current players

B) Spending a small fortune

C) Sacrificing our midfield.

Then it's gotta be a 4-3-1-2. We should give it a go.

We're forced to play through the middle anyway because our wing backs are null and void against top opposition. So we might aswell go through the middle with the added help of a CAM

This doesn't address our lack of wide threat, but 4-3-1-2 or a 4-1-2-1-2 could indeed improve us.

4312 can be played in the champions league BUT the 3 attacking players have to be world class. Hernanes could be a nice option but he is not world class.

Switching to 433 or 4312 requires buying one player anyway. You either need AM or RWF and I'll go for the latter. It's easier to find winger these days as whole world uses them; there aren't too many quality AMs though.

I'd simply drop Bonucci and put RWF here but knowing Conte he'd drop Asamoah from current lineup to keep BBC. It's not that hard really.

Hernanes won't cut it at AM. He can't do that in Italy he won't be able to do it in CL. Petkovic played him a bit deeper and it took the best out of him. Previous coaches played him as AM and he wasn't impressive at all but he's Juve material still imo.

Licht - Pogba - Vidal - Asamoah
Mata
Llorente - Tevez

That is as far as Conte will take it. He won't split up the 3 man defence and he won't bench Llorente or put Tevez on the wing. The only thing we can hope for right now is that they consider replacing Pirlo's playmaking from deep with a trequartista like Mata who could be our big money signing. Mata could be used the same way as Hamsik was under Mazzarri behind Cavani and Lavezzi.

Also that way they won't have to sign a more attacking wingback and they get to keep Asamoah's strength as that 3rd midfielder/flank defender which is something Conte seems to value.

Pogba I think has all the tools to be a World class CAM

Which means for a 4-3-1-2 we would just need a back up CAM

Although maybe blowing 30M on a striker wouldn't be a bad idea either. Most of which would be funded by sales of course

Buffon
Licht(Isla) Barzagli (Caceres) Chiellini (Ogbonna) Asamoah (Peluso)
Vidal (Nainggolan) Pirlo (Pogba) Marchisio (Asamoah)
Pogba (New CAM)
Llorente/New striker Tevez (Quags)

Out:

Giovinco
Bonucci
Pepe
Vucinic

"25 year old winger Angel Di Maria and 32 year old midfielder Xabi Alonso have definitively decided to leave Real Madrid"

AND I WANT THEM BOTH AT JUVE! :)

Menez is not a guaranteed starter, and we shouldn't change the formation to accommodate him; he is nowhere near that good or decisive. He is a good option to have off the bench, and change the formation if/when necessary.

I'd like to keep Llorente as a starter. He's still young and while Tevez works hard he doesn't have much left. Llorente would be perfect as a lone striker.

A little bit of thinking!
Kolarov will not leave Man. City because of the high salary and the fact that recently gaining more and more time playing. In addition, fans reminded that he is during the last time better than Clichy.
Menez is a realistic target from a economic view, but as a player I am not convince by him. He is not even a starter in PSG, so I am questioning my self what he can contribute to our better game?
Di Maria is way to expensive for us and will probably go to Monaco where he will get salary around 8 mil.
Xabi Alonso is not even near Pirlo so I think we don't need him at all
Nainggolan is a good player and could be a good back up, but for his price (18Mil.) I would rather see one of our youngsters to fill the gap.
So what I am trying to say is that from our economic point of view the loan of De Bruyne would be perfect for us and buying Murru for LB.
4-3-1-2
Buffon
Lichtstenier - Barzagli - Chiellini - Asamoah/Murru
Vidal - Pirlo - Pogba
De Bruyne
Llorente - Tevez

or

4-1-2-1-2
Buffon
Lichtstenier - Barzagli - Chiellini - Asamoah/Murru
Marchisio
Vidal - Pogba
De Bruyne
Llorente - Tevez

De Bruyne is two in one (RW + AM), should be our first choice.
