If you are putting Vidal and Pogba in a 2 man midfield then the wingers better be $#@!ing good because Vidal and Pogba have contributed 19 goals and 9 assists already.
post pirlo juve GOTTA be looking like this:

433:

Litchsteiner Bonucci Chiellini Kolarov/Murru

Vidal(marchisio) Veratti (MarroneDM) Pogba(Asamoah)

Berardi Llorente Griezmann(or any other)

- - - Updated - - -

Realistically :

Buffon
Lichtsteiner-Barzagli-Chiellini-Ogbonna
Marchisio
Vidal-------Pogba
Hernanes
Tevez-Llorente

Economically speaking, this lineup is very possible

Nasri and Silva aren't traditional 4-4-2 wingers either yet both of them are great for City.

Valencia is a giant pile of shit btw
You are right.

Exactly.Not wingbacks like Basta,Lulic etc,common please.
I don't like neither of them too, that's just how I see 4-4-2 work. I don't like this formation in general, but since Gian mentioned it, I tried to imagine Juve playing standard 4-4-2 and that's the kind of players that came to my mind first.

Is this Murru kid that everyone mentions any good?
very good for his age. he has the right balance between attack and defence.

442 dosn't necessarily use to wing-backs as their attacking wingers. most teams use 2 attacking wingers. the only one a recall can be valencia which is a wing-back type of player.

Which team plays 4-4-2 regularly nowadays though ? I mean not using sparsely but as their primary formation.I cant think of any.

Ok,so dont they have Hermann and Arango as the wide players ? That is atleast some sort of offensive threat from the flanks.Need to think better than Basta or Lulic for the 4-4-2.

Besides,fuck the 4-4-2 anyway.
I know, only after I wrote that post I realised: "Why the fuck I'm thinking about wing-backs, if Hermann looks amazing in 4-4-2 and he is no wingback?"

4-4-2 to me seems like such an old school formation with those defensive midfielders, that my brain refuses to even think about anything else. I feel like an old men in a modern society who can't accept the reality and realise, that those days are long gone. :D

We should build on our strength that is the midfield, not diminish it.4-3-3 or 4-3-1-2/4-3-2-1 is the way to go imo.

Doesnt make sense moving to a 2 man midfield since it would require wholsale changes from an attacking point of view to suit that formation and which is unlikely to happen anyway.

Surely in a 4-3-3, Pogba and Vidal can still play in their b2b roles. Marchisio was banging them in when we played 4-3-3 with Pepe and Vucinic ffs.

People have caught the 'Conte virus'

Putting out line ups that are so largely concentrated on defense is the reason why we never scored more than 1 goal from open play in either of our 6 CL group stage games

And despite obviously having an inferior squad to Bayern, we more or less got 0 shots off in the 1st leg. Which is something that Hamburg would be ashamed of

In 4-3-3 they definitely could and we've seen it previously during Conte's 1st year.

I wonder who will sit,IF let's way we sign 2 wingers like Menez and Nani.
Tevez ofcourse not.
Llorente?I Doubt it,he's getting better and must be our poacher.
So it's 1 of Menez or Nani...i guess benching Menez is the way,but i don't think either of them will be happy about it.

I'm not, but playing Griezmann as a left midfielder in a 4-4-2 is a waste of talent and money. Primary duty for a left midfielder in 4-4-2 is to create chances for forwards by crossing - that's the exact opposite of what Griezmann does best. He's scorer, not a creator. If you want to play 4-4-2, get Lulic, Valencia or Basta, not him.
Ladies and gentlemen it's pu$$y defensive minded football like this that's holding us back from making a Big Bang in Europe.

Comes down to Tevez really. If he's willing to play in a slightly different role then both could and probably would play

If he's too stubborn to do that, then he's got competition in Llorente

He's obviously better than Llorente BUT in a 4-3-3 Llorente is more suited imo.

tevez was absolute shieet is still be shieettt in europe. even when he won it he missed like a million chances in the final in moskow. remember?

i go for 433 WITHOUT A SIGN OF TEVEZ:

Buffon
Litch Barzagli Chiellini Kolarov
Pirlo
Vidal-------Pogba
Menez ------ Llorente-------LW

For the left wing we can go cheap with nani (10-12m) or we can buy world class players which marmotta is unlikely to do unless he gets kicked in the ass my conte.

Tévez would be wasted on the wing imo.
I agree, but then Llorente must be benched in 4-3-3.
I know there are other options and solutions, but in 4-3-3 we can't start them both + have good wingers.

So for now i think it's better we go for:

AM
Tevez-Llorente

or

Tevez-CAM
Llorente

Yeah, that's seems the best option for 4-3-3....but i just can't imagine Tevez getting benched...not by Menez/Nani.
