Negotiations for Muniain's contract renewal has stagnated, and reports are now suggesting that the Great Man will try to take advantage of the situation.

:beppe:

Contract runs out in 2015. Release clause is 38 million euros. According to reports, Llorente have urged the player to sign for Juve.

There have been reports for 2 years now that Beppe & co. are monitoring the player.

He was good, but annoyed the piss out of me. Constantly fouling our players, pulling shirts, diving. I suppose he's one of those players you love when he's playing for you, and hate when he's playing for the opposition team.
And that's exactly why we should buy him.
As I said in the match thread, just like Lichtsteiner
Exactly, amazing player plus he would annoy the shit out of our opposition.

Wouldn't mind him a bit.

Well assuming we're talking about next Summer and not this moment in time, i'd happily go to 4-3-3 if one of our strikers aren't performing at a top level. At the end of the day, i'm not going to cry if Tevez or Llorente don't hold down a 1st team position after having something like 15 goal seasons or worse. (I'm not saying this will happen, but if it did)

If we get hold of 2 very good Wingers then we can prepare for life after Pirlo without smashing tens of millions on another Regista, and praying that they are even 1/5th as good as Pirlo. That doesn't seem logical to me at all. We NEED Pirlo so long as we have 2 wing-backs because he is our creative spark. 2 wingers/wide forwards sharing that creative burden between them could work well.

Most people agree that 3-5-2 has taken us as far as it can, so are Tevez and Llorente really good enough to build a team around, are they really going to be untouchable? I doubt it.

Neither of them are World Class and if the formation is holding us back, it doesn't make sense to stick to it just to play both of them together.
See here is the thing. Many of this forum, have a severe fetish of wingers, but forget the impact fielding wingers has.

First of all, we got llorente and tevez who are doing terrific. We should look to keep that. Why change something that works. For the fancy of wingers ? thats retarded.
So, wingers and tevez-llorente. Basically means you have to play a 4-4-2. Means the central midfielders will be holding midfielders. Means vidal and pogba are forced to stay central and severely limit forward attacking runs. Wich is just about the best thing about juventus.
Wingers wouldnt replace pîrlo, they'd also limit the CM. Would be worse then our 352.

Some will now say "but we can play 4231". Same problem. First of all, tevez is not a CAM. A 4231 is played with 2 wingers of various mentality(defensive/offensive) and 3 midfielders, one advanced two holding.
Not only would this formation require a new CAM since marchisio is the only one who could do that but isnt effective, whilst pogba and vidal arent cams, not only does it means we also need 2 wingers, not only does it drops one of our working forward duo, simular as with the 442, pogba+vidal would hold the midfield, removing all the great offensive skills they have, and damaging the organisation since only pogba has talent for covering, but its not his nature. That we learned.

Some will say, "but a 433 is the solution of life". Nope, cause it also has simular problem. A true 433 means that you play with a central forward, two wingers and 3 midfielders. But this can be done in two ways

1) you use very offensive wingers like barcelona. Means we need 2 wings cause we got none of that. It also means your midfield has to stay deeper to cover for them, limiting their offensive value. wich is the same issue we saw before. On top of that, we'd be benching tevez. THE big issue about this is the massive space in the center.
THis formation is rarely played these days. Instead bayern munchen variant is played, wich is basically the 4-2-3-1.
One central forward and 2 very offensive wingers. Two holding midfielders and one advanced one to connect everything.People need to grasp that this guy is a MIDFIELDER. If juve would do this, eighter marchisio would be CAM or we'd buy a new one, along with 2 wingers.
But you know bayern. Martinez and schweinsteiger. both holding everything in place. But they are excellent at it. Vidal and pogba need to be able to attack

2) you use workhorse wingers, wich allows 2 cm's to be very offensive and one holding. Brings the best out of our central midfield. We have played this in conte's first season with great succes. A holding pirlo allowing vidal and marchisio to terrorise the opponent, with pepe and vucinic putting much work into everything. But did people really like it ? They liked to movement, and hated the lack of creativity. Can you solve this ? Sure, with lavezzi and Lucas. Wingers who are terribly rare and expensive.

Some say, lets look at the madrid game. I'm amongst those. Both 4321 and 4312 are good idea's and allow switching.

Basically, you'd need one cam that puts in good work for the team (like kroos/müller). behind llorente, with tevez using space around him. because there is a holding midfielder and the cam has working duty's, both CM's can burst forward whenever they like, the cam can just drop down to cover. because of this working cam, the offensive allowed cm's, can help the fullbacks in defence, or drift into the space at the side when attacking, allowing pogba/marchisio to do killed crosses in the box.
Against stronger opposition, tevez could play deeper and help the cam locking down the holding midfielders of the opponent, with the cm's going wider.

Best thing ? We just need 1 player and we are set.

Against real madrid, marchisio was playing in the right wing and he neutralized Marcelo. Tevez was on the left wing- he didn't had to mark arbeloa, because arbeloa can't play football. I'd call it 4-3-3.
but we don't wanna put tevez on the left, do we?
See many people think this because they saw a formation that said 433.

What actually happened, was 4321, with tevez or marchisio putting pressure on the fullback, and the other covering the route to the holding midfielder, effectively cuttign down madrids buildup. It was by no means a wing based formation.

Radja could do that yeah. Asamoah should play BtB like vidal and Pogby.

This is also why the golem is a good idea. Whilst marchisio or pogba could play BtB or holding, its just 1 midfielder in excess for 3 positions. Thats not enough.
We need golem.

How much do you think Kroos would cost? He's imo very underrated and liked over in german football over reus Gotze schurle and draxler.

You can play any competent DM as a holding midfielder but you need a creative force upfront to take the pressure off them.

If you play Vidal-Radja-Pogba

with 2 good wingers and a good CF like Tevez/Llorente then Radja's job is a piece of cake. But only 2 strikers and some defensive wingbacks makes his job much harder.

But anyways, if you assemble a midfield with the athleticism of Vidal-Radja-Pogba why would you want to concentrate build up from so deep in the first place? Your play style should be to bludgeon teams with pressing and work rate and again, that makes Radja's job easier because you are playing to his strengths.

Fuck Diacunti. I hope he suffers and injury that ends his WC hopes; not only him, but Ranocchia, Astori, Aquapussy, and Montolivo.

Radja and Ibarbo would be solid acquisitions in January. Young, versatile players ftw
