Santon did look quite good. He even performed back to back Ronaldo chops on his defender and ultimately accomplished nothing but I'm sure many on this board were :tuttosport: all over themselves for the fancy dribbling.

But seriously, he looked strong and quick and he's still only 22.

I've watched alot of Man U this year. He has been good every time I've seen him. He was good for Portugal. He gets such a bad reputation because the English don't know football and label him a certain way.

That's very unfair and the year United reached the Champions League final in Moscow he was unplayable throughout the competition. He's just fallen out of favour with Ferguson/Moyes in recent years.

He's not a 4-4-2 winger. They expect him to run up and down like Valencia. He's not that type of player. He's a 4-3-3 style winger. But the two years before last year he had 25 goals + assists for Man U in something like 35 starts and they were still complaining about him.

Arjen Robben was about the same age when he "flopped" at Real Madrid. Bayern scooped him up and he became world class. When you are looking for that type of scenario around the football world nowadays there is no one that comes closer to that comparison than Nani IMO. When you look at pure talent there is no denying he has it.

Why do we need nani, where does that bring us ?

1) We need another winger to make any wing based formation work
2) it would means vidal and pogba play less offensive, wich takes away their best characteristics (attacking runs and aggressive pressing)

Basically, it would be far inferior to this formation.

Focus on regista or cam.

Nah, we can give Tevez a free role, he could play close to Llorente while Nani provides the width.

We'll be able to play that kind of trident with Vidal-Pogba-Marchisio/Asamoah in midfield. We need a LB too, though.

Name a good team who has no wingers.

Come on, just say it. "BottomLine is right, again. We should get Kagawa, by all means. He's perfect for us."
I know you can do it, ain't that hard.
